S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl

Enhanced Edition and modding
does anyone know if this is going to break all the mods that we have since 2007?

I mean, this will probably be a separate executable in your library, so it wouldn't affect the original game anyway. It's not updating the original game so much as offering a remastered version. Hence why for those who don't own the originals, you actually have to buy the remaster.
Try again: Can't edit or delete the above.

According to their FAQ:

Compatibility and mods

Will the Enhanced Edition support mods created for the original S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games?

Existing mods are incompatible with the enhanced Legends of the Zone. However, the mod community and stalkers who enjoy the modified Zone experience can still play modifications, as the original trilogy remains available in stores.

Will the Enhanced Edition be compatible with Steam Workshop for modding?

Yes, the PC version of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Legends of the Zone Trilogy Enhanced Edition will support Steam Workshop for modding.

Will players be able to transfer saves from the original PC versions to the Enhanced Edition?

Those are two different games, and saves cannot be transferred from the original games to the enhanced edition.

Will there be restrictions on modding in the Enhanced Edition compared to the original games?

We don’t want to limit your creativity. However, to be sure that your mod is not violating any rules, please check this Mod Guideline
