Mods for a Beginner?

Sort of trying the game out for the first time. Just looking for some mod suggestions to get started with.

I prefer more quality of life additions, graphics, and minor gameplay features. Not looking for total overhauls or mods that add tons of items I'll never use.

Nothing for the beginners.
If you have to install something use ZRP, a bugfix / QOL mod.

I personally play Stalker with Stalker complete 2009 version 1.4.4.

I just finished up a play through a couple of weeks ago using Stalker Starter Pack, and since it is a mod pack, I'm not sure I'd recommend installing additional mods on top of it. TBH, you really don't any other mods if you are wanting a vanilla plus experience.

Starter Pack comes with these mods

Dynamic Shaders from AA2.1
FoV switcher
OWR3 weapon pack for Shadow of Chernobyl
Photo Realistic Zone 2.1 textures
HD Models addon for Shadow of Chernobyl
Stalker Weather Overhaul v3.1.1
Zone Reclamation Project 1.07 R5 RC
COMPLETE mod nightvision animation for suits with bad NV

For the most part, I enjoyed my play through using the Starter Pack but I didn't like the NPC character models that HD Models addon replaced the vanilla ones with, and I also noticed it changed the basic carry weight for the Marked One from 50 kg to 100 kg and the maximum carry weight up to 200 kg, which for me was game breaking so I used the ZRP Modifier Program that comes with Zone Reclamation Project in the pack to change it back to vanilla values.

I'm doing another play through just using the following mods instead of Starter Pack.

1. CrommCruac's Absolute Nature
2. CrommCruac's Absolute Structures
3. Zone Reclamation Project 1.07 R5 RC for bug fixes and restore some cut content as far as quests as well as to include free play with some extras after completing the main quest.

I use this. It's pretty easy to install, and the guy still answers his steam group questions from what I remember.

The best visual enhanced experience imo is a combination between Autumn Aurora, HD Models, Better Hands for AA, High resolution weapons for S.T.A.L.K.E.R SoC v1.3.

Never used mods in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. playing it on Master (i think it was) difficulty and enjoyed the game all the way through, 7 times but, I only got 5 endings instead of the 7. Two of them were the same endings as others endings I completed. Been a while since I've played it though. I did use the ZRP mod, it fixes a lot of issues with the game but, I finished it several times before I found out about that mod. That's the only mod you need, really. As for the Stalker Complete mod, it's a cheat mod.

Do you know, that 5 endings are false? Did you meet Doctor?
