One thing folks said might help is to extract via 7Zip rather than Windows Extraction, so I did that, cannot confirm if that helps or not. I used to use 7zip a lot so I already had it installed, updated, and ready to go.
What truly worked on my laptop was this:
Go into Nvidia Control Panel > 3D Settings > Manage Display mode > Display Mode = NVIDIA GPU only
Apply + Yes/Keep Settings
Run game.
I switch it back to Automatic Select once I'm done so the iGPU steps back in for standard usage. Kind of annoying and hopefully just a temporary thing.
Without forcing my NV GPU this way, I cannot get Stalker SOC w/updated complete mod to start. Vanilla starts fine. Something with the mod isn't allowing Optimus to swap to the NV GPU no matter what I did with the XR_3DA.exe policies. Setting NV GPU only in NV Control Panel (this allows me to not have to reboot to apply it via Lenovo Vantage or BIOS on my Legion 5i),
With version .76, I was able to successfully load my fresh-ish vanilla start saved game w/o issues. .71 would crash before finishing loading it.
