How do I know if Mods are working?
Decided to install a mod pack suggested by a Youtube video that enhances the vanilla experience and did as the readme said but Im not sure if they're working. Is there a way to tell?

usually on the bottom left of the main menu screen youll see the name of the mod. right next to the game version. thats how it is for ZRP at least.

what modpack are you trying to insall? if its ZRP you need to edit fsgame.ltx and tell the game to read from the gamedata folder. (or any mod that uses that directory)

Correction I opened the file with notepad. changed the false to true and nothing changed. The mods are in the mod folder

im not sure what you mean. do you mean you changed it to fsgame.txt in order to edit it? as long as you changed it back to .ltx after you should be fine,

a comment from the mod page says this:
"Copy / cut "gamedata" and "bin" in the directory of Stalker SOC and copy / cut "user.ltx" (it's in "app_data" file) in "your documents" -> "Stalker-SHOC" (or the location of saves files etc) ;)"

i think i see what the problem is. in the base game the folder is called _appdata_ and in the zip file for the modpack its called app_data. just takje user.ltx from there and put it the correct folder. that might fix it. other than that im not really sure. dont have the most experience with modding the game, but i can try it out tmr

well, if you are using the fsgame.ltx provided by the modpack it changes the appdata directory to be app_data and not the original _appdata_. sorry if this is a crappy explanation

You know if mods are working if your game crashes.
