ZRP is jank
First time im trying a mod for STALKER and God its awful, my biggest issues are with the npcs / enemies / stashes simply not spawning. You can fix this by doing a quickload but its still annoying as hell, I thought that mod is supposed to fix stuff, not add even more problems.

Some examples (so early in the game yet so many problems already)

- Wolf does not spawn after you clear the bandit camp and rescue Nimble
- the whole rookie village is often empty, not a single npc to be seen
- army dudes under the bridge don't spawn
- Fox doesn't spawn
- Nimble's stash on top of the train car does not spawn
- "flesh" mutants don't spawn when doing a task "clear the mutant lair" for Wolf

I have not enabled or disabled any additional features of this mod. I simply installed it the way its meant to be installed and booted up the game.

I have just started SoC for the first time. I installed ZRP and have none of the issues you describe. I have already found the mod very useful, in fact.

are you sure you enabled mods in the fsgames, ini file. could be a windows 11 thing
kallipsoul Nov 21, 2024 @ 4:25am
Sometimes the spawn issues appears due to PC memory problems. Try to close all apps while playing maybe

I rarely if ever had any issues with ZRP or SRP.

They are more stable than vanilla.

So maybe something got screwed up.

Make sure game settings enable the mods in the ini file.

I would verify the game cache and reinstall the mod and start a completely new game just to be safe.

A little update, things do spawn but its delayed for some reason. Im gonna try to tweak some things in the mod, I found another thread on the internet with a person having the exact same problem like a year ago.
i've been playing with zrp and i haven't seen any of that either. does it say the zrp version number in the bottom left corner of the main menu?

Never heard about such issues. You need to start new game to make ZRP work properly.

I’ve never heard of the issues you mentioned. I have countless hours of gameplay on GOG and have always used the ZRP version 1.07 RC5, which is the most stable. In fact, without ZRP, you won’t have a stable gameplay experience, and there’s no point in arguing otherwise. ZRP fixes numerous issues in the game, from spawns and mission rewards to scripts and hundreds of other files.

Aint nothing wrong with vanilla tho. The issues you can see in vanilla are present in ZRP aswell, mod fixed nothing. Some characters are even more bugged in ZRP (Kruglov for example).

Ive played through the whole game with ZRP and didn't see a single useful thing about it.

then go play vannilla and be = as annoyed

"Does this mod change the game?
Yes, but in a logical vanilla-supporting way. A few examples: There are far fewer crashes and no show-stopping ones. There are no more broken quests. You can save in Pripyat and reload that save. NPCs don't spawn dead in campfires. NPCs know when they are being nibbled by tushkanos. Some of the autoquests have been converted into normal sidequests. The contents of newly-broken crates don't fall through the floor. You can stay in the Zone after the game ends."-pasted

That should give you an idea. The ZRP change notes can tell you what's different.

The ZRP also adds other content, all of which is optional, all of which extends vanilla:

There are new level changers added as you play the game.
Each level has its own autosave.
You can continue playing after the normal end of the game.
You can know what your reward will be before you take on the side task.
You can skip offered but unwanted side tasks.
You can fast-travel across each level.
Secrets are a bit more interesting to read (English only). (Rename gamedata\config\text\eng\stable_treasure_manager.xml to restore vanilla text.)
TZIO: You can start the game at any point in the storyline, or advance the storyline.

Im not annoyed by vanilla, i played through it multiple times.

The only reason I tried a mod is because theres so many snowflakes around claiming you "need" mods to play.

Why is Kruglov not fixed? Why are some quests still pointing at a wrong location? You might aswell play without a mod, its same thing

You clearly don't pay a bit of attention to gameplay and can't tell the difference between gameplay with ZRP or without it. I think you'd better visit the mod's page, pay attention to the details, carefully read the hundreds of errors that ZRP fixes, the other hundreds of aspects it improves, and replay the game while paying attention.

Well, you're going to do whatever you want, but saying that ZRP is trash shows that you can't even make it out of the Cordon and are just a newbie thinking a Jellyfish will make you rich.

Okay, thats nice and all but have u actually NOTICED any improvements in the game? Maybe im just lucky but vanilla has never been crashing for me. I just thought that the mod will bring some QOL improvements but sadly for me it didn't.

Why you getting mad all of a sudden, the game is really ez when u know what ur doing, once you collect some artifacts from garbage and agroprom and get Strelok's gun in the underground the game becomes a cakewalk, you can just snowball and do missions and you basically don't even have to buy anything except maybe some endgame weapons because the game will provide you with everything when you do missions.

Start can be a bit rough if you are new but when u know what ur doing the game becomes even easier than CoP imo.
Yoinkyz Nov 24, 2024 @ 2:01pm
are you playing clear sky right now vanilla?
Скіф Nov 24, 2024 @ 2:54pm
No, Im using SRP but Ive never finished Clear Sky, it feels like faction wars are a bit better with SRP
