They are more stable than vanilla.
So maybe something got screwed up.
Make sure game settings enable the mods in the ini file.
I would verify the game cache and reinstall the mod and start a completely new game just to be safe.
Ive played through the whole game with ZRP and didn't see a single useful thing about it.
then go play vannilla and be = as annoyed
"Does this mod change the game?
Yes, but in a logical vanilla-supporting way. A few examples: There are far fewer crashes and no show-stopping ones. There are no more broken quests. You can save in Pripyat and reload that save. NPCs don't spawn dead in campfires. NPCs know when they are being nibbled by tushkanos. Some of the autoquests have been converted into normal sidequests. The contents of newly-broken crates don't fall through the floor. You can stay in the Zone after the game ends."-pasted
That should give you an idea. The ZRP change notes can tell you what's different.
The ZRP also adds other content, all of which is optional, all of which extends vanilla:
There are new level changers added as you play the game.
Each level has its own autosave.
You can continue playing after the normal end of the game.
You can know what your reward will be before you take on the side task.
You can skip offered but unwanted side tasks.
You can fast-travel across each level.
Secrets are a bit more interesting to read (English only). (Rename gamedata\config\text\eng\stable_treasure_manager.xml to restore vanilla text.)
TZIO: You can start the game at any point in the storyline, or advance the storyline.
The only reason I tried a mod is because theres so many snowflakes around claiming you "need" mods to play.
Why is Kruglov not fixed? Why are some quests still pointing at a wrong location? You might aswell play without a mod, its same thing
You clearly don't pay a bit of attention to gameplay and can't tell the difference between gameplay with ZRP or without it. I think you'd better visit the mod's page, pay attention to the details, carefully read the hundreds of errors that ZRP fixes, the other hundreds of aspects it improves, and replay the game while paying attention.

Well, you're going to do whatever you want, but saying that ZRP is trash shows that you can't even make it out of the Cordon and are just a newbie thinking a Jellyfish will make you rich.
Why you getting mad all of a sudden, the game is really ez when u know what ur doing, once you collect some artifacts from garbage and agroprom and get Strelok's gun in the underground the game becomes a cakewalk, you can just snowball and do missions and you basically don't even have to buy anything except maybe some endgame weapons because the game will provide you with everything when you do missions.
Start can be a bit rough if you are new but when u know what ur doing the game becomes even easier than CoP imo.
