Oblivion Lost Remake Help.
This is one of the best stalker experiences Ive ever had. Even with the glitches and such its an amazing mod. It was only recently roughly translated it English and there are no En guides or walk through's or any source of information.

I have done my best with the information provided to me and have figured alot of progression out on my own but ive finally gotten lost or stuck.

I think the next main mission is bringing the 2 prototype weapons to the scientist in Yantar. I obtained one of them from the Lab in Dark Valley, as well as the documents inside there. I have obtain streloks secret documents part 1-3 and the next is in Shining Path.

The scientist mentioned the two prototypes are in that lab (the bold shotgun) and in the Shining Path i think. However i cannot get to the shining path because its protected by dangerous psy emissions like in typical SOC.

I have a few open side quests but nothing critical i believe. One of them is to "Scout Rostok with the Squad" I have gone to Rostok way back with them and they get script killed at the start by bloodsuckers when you approach the factory. I then proceeded to kill everything in Rostok as well as do the scripted Bloodsucker quest where you chase him around etc. Seeing that i still have the quest to "scout rostok" i went back there again for 2 hours and cleared every possible building to find nothing. I also cannot find the gun for the guy in the BAR.

There was another gun retrieval mission to get the "special vintorez" from a stalker in Medipribor. He mentions something about finding a stash "behind the factory" before he will give you more info. Idk if he was an important scripted character or what so i ended up just killing him to take his rifle to complete the quest. I hope this didnt break anything.

Anyways.... Where is the second prototype weapon for the scientists? I Imagine getting it involves unlocking access to the swamps and Shining Path. If not then how else do i access those zones? Why is the Rostok Quest to "scout Rostok" not finishing if ive cleared every damn cranny of that place. I know i must of missed something in Rostok but i just dont see what it could possibly be.

If anyone has information on this and speaks English i would be appreciative. Unfotunately at this point i may just have to restart it all again and see where i possibly went wrong or missed an important piece of information.

Been a while since I did OLR so some of the detail is fuzzy, and some of this advise might be incorrect but..

The 2nd PSI prototype is indeed in Shining Path (aka the Dead City) in an apartment as part of a quest chain you do for Freedom leader.

As for the 1st prototype you say you found it, IIRC I had to visit X18 twice to get it because it is behind a locked door, the scientist gives you the code but you cannot get into the bunker to talk to him until you get his Pendant from X18 from your first visit, pendant is given by 'the Elder' in the pit on the bottom floor... at least thats how it panned out for me.

Hot Tip: Kill and take 5 rats with you while in X18, will save you a ton of time later, trust me.

If you cant get to the swamp or Shining Path I'm wondering have you switched off the Psi Emitter underneath Lake Yantar ? (aka X16 in vanilla). The entrance is from the "hangar" which is in the northern part of the map, Not the centre, you can get to it once you get the psi helmet.

Damn this is brutal.

Unfortunately the second Psy weapon is not in Shining Path. Instead there is the a different prototype #2 in the journalists apartment in deadcity/shining path but not the weapon i need. I believe this other prototype is for next step of the mission.

I found out how to get to Shining Path without getting zapped by psy emissions and just had to stick to the farthest east edge of Yantar to cross zones.

From the exhaustive research ive done apparently the second psy weapon prototype is in agriprom/medipripor from the "clear sky dude quest" however that is too vague for me and the scientists say absolutely nothing about that zone. Apparently there is a "art" weapon prototype there and thats the weapon i need for the scientists quest.

So I still just have 1 prototype weapon ( the bolt shotgun from x-18 from the zombie) I have used the silver pendant and have talked to the scientist in Yantar who tells me to get these 2 weapon prototypes. Mentions X-18 and shining path. However apparently the second weapon prototype in in medipripor/agroprom... Im rather confused lol.

Like i said i did kill the one dude in the center building of agriprom on the second floor who has the "improved Vintorez" for a quest to retrieve that weapon. He also had a quest but i hope it was just a side quest and that wasnt the so called "clear sky guy" because he seemd to be a stalker.

So thanks for the information and is it possible you remember where the second weapon prototype is ? (again the "prototype #2 in the journalists apartment in dead city is something else because its not a weapon like the bolt shotgun) So i assume there is another weapon with special properties that im looking for, just to clarify.

ah I see, you're looking for the weapon prototypes not the psi prototypes.

Agree, this bit stumped me, and its frustrating. Cant remember where I found the answer, buried in some thread on moddb or some such..

Quick hint.
Have you been to the Bar since you finished X18 ? if not do that before reading on.

Spoiler heavy.
After finishing X18, the next time you enter the Bar (map) you should be contacted by a member of Clear Sky. He is in the school (T shaped building), this is the "clear sky dude". He asks you to meet his contact at Agroprom. You already killed that guy so I wonder if the game has not triggered the msg, or perhaps you simply missed it, its one of those quick pop up PMs only for a few seconds at the bottom of the hud. Regardless go find him and talk to him.

If none of that works and you're lucky it shouldn't matter though. What you're ultimately looking for is a group of dead bodies at Agroprom, they are in the far South West corner behind the institute the weapon is on one of the bodies

If you're unlucky i.e. if the msg from the CS guy quest doesn't trigger or he wont give the quest or more importantly if the bodies aren't there then I pray you have a hard save before you killed his contact for the vineroz, but I'd be surprised if it comes to that, the quests cant be that broken... but you never know with these Alpha build quests.

Its confusing AF this quest line, the lack of online guides and zero ingame hints/markers doesn't help. I'm reading off my own notes I took after i finished OLR in case I ever play it again..

I can't say with 100% certainty that its the completing of X18 that triggers the msg from the clear sky dude, but that is when it happened for me.

I will apply this info and see if i can progress thank you very much man regardless if it works or not. This is also the only game ive ever played where i have been making notes because certain quests dont even appear in the pda and certain quest descriptions are seen once then lost forever.

I never recalled getting a msg to talk to a clear sky dude in the BAR area. If hes in the Bar itself then i would have gotten his quest as well as the Bar keeps quest to get the rifle from the same guy. When i talked to the dude with the vintorez he told me to "find the secret stash behind the factory" or some bs and i couldnt find it so just killed him and took the rifle for the bar keepers quest.

Anyways ill head back to Agroprom and look for some corpses XD.

But yeah it could of been one of those quests with no PDA indication. I know i have gotten several like that so far for example the zombie guy in dead city who wants some bread. When you enter Dead city you get a pda msg says " hey come see me im here in the building" and if i didnt read that i would of never known he even existed..... Then you talk to him and get a quest to get some bread which doesnt actually register in your PDA but is a real quest with some seriously important information...

Also if i broke something then i have no problem restarting I had an amazing time with this mod but its frustrating when you hit these brick walls due to lack of info or literally no info..... Then you just kinda wonder around till you get bored lol. Lets just say i got prob 50 hours into this playthrough and im not even at the half way point in story i bet so thats a pretty sweet game and mod. I have fun being challenged and having to figure things out myself as its satisfying. However its so vague in this mod that figuring things out is highly chance and luck.

I did find the Moskovit car the $2000 one and people online think it doesnt exist so thats something i guess lol.

Good luck.

Between OL, OLR & Lost Alpha, this one had the most engaging story. I also think this one has the creepiest incarnation of X18 I've ever experienced, and it was on this mod I first experienced the Warlab map which was quite memorable, just to name a few things.

I am also really glad these Alpha versions of Pseudodogs did not make it into the final game, these OLR versions are the stuff of nightmares. I see one, I turn and run the other way.

Alright so I went to that location and there was indeed a gravitational artifact (the same that powers the gravity shotgun) however that apparently was not what i needed.

Quest is "Find the Psy-Weapon Prototypes" return them to the professor. Since the quest didnt trigger when i got the art gravitational artifact i assume either its broken or i have the wrong thing. I have the Psy weapon prototype #2 from dead city from journalist's appartment but never saw the first Psy weapon Prototype that was possibly in X-18? Maybe i missed it and if not its somewhere else.

Sry this is confusing af but i think we are on the right track lol.

First weapon prototype is given by the Elder in X18 as part of his personal quest.

When you siad "I obtained one of them from the Lab in Dark Valley" I assumed that was it, but heck a lot of detail is a bit fuzzy on how much content there was to do

Here are my full notes on this quest dumped from my doco

"
Yantar, the professor

He tells you to find
-TWO PSI prototypes
-the grav shotgun
-the grav artifact.

PSI prototype 1 is in Lab X18 behind a locked door, he gives you the code
PSI prototype 2 is in the Shining City (Dead City) in an apartment.
Talk to the Freedom leader after doing some of his side quests

The Grav shotgun is the one you got from Elder in X18 when you did his side quest.
The Grav artifact comes from doing clear sky’s quest(s) from Agroprom.
- Artifact is behind the Institute, which is the southern building, have to go to the far SW.
- Clear Sky will ask you to bring him the artifact. He also has a weapon the barman wants.
- he gets killed after you get the grav artifact because Agropom gets swamped with mutants and kills everyone. Can loot the weapon off him then.

Entrance to X16 is from the “hangar” which is in the north part of the map. Not the centre.
(Once you get the psi helmet)

On completion of lab X16 you will be contacted by the Doctor, in the swamps.

Lads, I am inhumanly sorry for necro posting but, I need help.

I am genuinely starting to fear that I got soft locked out of the game as. I have no main quest indicators apart from kill strelok. I need to grab the "Secret documents" of which I found 3, but the rest are in the instakill psy zones, I speak to both toad and barman but none offer anything new, I need a psy helmet I guess, but have zero feckin' clue where to find one. I need help lads please, I almost beg of you to tell me that I am not soft locked and I just missed some vital text or something.

For all the fecal matter people throw at Lost Alpha I almost NEVER ran into confusing quests and such. It was playable from the very start to finish.
Redrick May 3, 2022 @ 8:55pm
Not knowing exactly what you've found, where, what quests you've done or haven't done and how far you've got, I'll spare asking questions and all the back and forth and simply dump my whole OLR notes here for you to comb over and see if it provides what you're looking for. Originally made these notes for myself for if i ever replay but happy to share if it helps, so forgive any brevity or rambling on some of them.

I can't remember exactly what order you have to do stuff in, or what is a prerequisite of what when you're getting into the nitty gritty of getting PSI protection, which is part of the confusion, I do recall having to do a lot of back anf forth so be prepared.

Edit: Some of it is coming back to me. Have you made it to Yantar and got the quest from the professor ? IIRC you need the pendant from the Elder from your first visit to X18 as a prerequisite.

High Level Notes

Story
- Broadly speaking it’s the same basic story. Get documents from Cordon, take them to Barkeep, sends you to X18, go to Scientist, sends to to X16, turn off Brain Scorcher, got to Pripyat etc. With the optional quest to uncover the truth.. starting with finding Strelok’s stash.

- But many of the levels are different, how you go about them is different, the number of smaller roadblocks you have to overcome along the way (such as locked doors at X18 and Brain Scorcher for which you have to hunt down the door code) make it far more complex than Vanilla, and overall different enough of an experience taken as a whole, to feel like a different game.

Good Ending
- Receive and SOS when you first enter Agroprom. It is from a stalker at the NW corner of the factory. He tells you about STrelok and his stash.

- Find Strelok’s stash, its there in Agroprom near that stalker

- The stash includes a USB that references 7 documents published from a stalker named Journalist.
- You need to find all 7. USB hints to the location of the first two, right there in Agroprom. One in the factory, one in the Institute with the military.

- 3rd is in the Garbage behind the depot. 4th is at the Army Warehouse (talk to Sin leader), 5th is at Yantar accessible after you switch off the psi emitter at lab X16, 6th is at the Red Forest in the west accessible after you switch off the Brain Scorcher, 7th is in the Pripyat school (T shaped building)

- On getting all 7 Journalist contacts you, meet him in the Dead city in one of the houses in the outskirts. Talk with him about the Monolith.

- On completing lab X16 the Doctor contacts you, meet him in the Swamp, do his side quests and he eventually reveals to you who you are.

- On reaching the monolith you get told to avoid it, find the teleporter instead.

- On teleporting you get given the code to the locked door in the lowest level of the Brain scorcher to go and destroy the psi emitter blocking the way through NPP.

- Go to the Generators and find C-Consciousness

---------------------------------------------------------------
Detailed Notes

Strelok’s Stash
When you first enter Agropom you get a message from a stalker. He is in the NW corner of the northern base, he tells you about Strelok’s stash.
It is inside the main building, the one with the stairs going up to the walkway between buildings. It is on the ground floor, look for the red-lit area that is also a radiation hotspot. The stash is in there.

The 7 Documents referenced by Strelok.
As noted by his USB, the First 2 are in Agropom
Note each document gives a hint as to where to find the next.

1. Northern base: Same building quoted above where you found the stash, actually go upstairs and across the walkway between buildings, its on the floor.
2. Southern (military) base. Go into the main building and its upstairs on the 2nd floor.
3. At the garbage, out the back of the Depot, on a sewer pipe outside.
4. Silent hills main building. Talk to the faction leader, do his side quests.
5. Lake Yantar main complex. It is in the large square building in the centre. You cannot access it until you complete lab X16 and switch off the psi emitter.
6. Red Forest, control room. As with yantar this is a generalization. Its not in the control room but at the complex to the West of the Pripyat entrance. (The same complex where the brain scorcher level resides in Vanilla)
7. Pripyat. At the school. The T-shaped building of course.
Meet Journalist:

Rostock Factory
-Upstairs above the cinema (SW corner) you will find papers that say “Order number xyz”.
Give these to the person in the bar wearing an Ecologist suit.

-Hunter’s rifle. Is outside rostock near the houses (where you get the truck for barkeep, and kill bloodsuckers). One of the houses there has a backpack/stash with the rifle in it.

-Barkeep’s truck: outside the above aforementioned village.

-[After you kill the uber-bloodsucker]
Knife: will get this mission from barkeep to look a knife in the underground tunnels of rostock. (I Never found it)

- Journal: Duty leader gives you this. The journal in question is for the Monolith Faction journal, which I had already found and had been walking around with. They are located in the underground tunnels, looks for teh section that has a broken door that you cannot open , with boulders in front of it.

- On completing Lab X16 a stalker named Witcher will contact you when you enter the Bar. He is in one of the northern buildings. He tells you to go to Rostock to find a Duty member in a “warehouse” on the roof.

Go to Rostock, the warehouse in question is in the northern section, look for a ladder on the outside, then go to the roof. This quest line ends up you being able to open the door-coded-locked room in the Bar, which is disappointingly empty. No promised rocket launcher.

The Bar
- Hunters rifle is in a stash in one of the houses in the same place you get a truck for barman.

X18
- You’ll need the doorcode to be able to go downstairs at all in X18.
When you first enter the dark valley you will be messaged by a bandit faction there.
Go to him and do his side mission, he will give you the door code in return.

- Take Two Flashlights into the lab. Your equipped one breaks soon after you enter, and you cannot leave the lab until you finish it. Without a 2nd flashlight you will be stuck doing the entire level without a flashlight... and there are lot of dark areas, and a lot of things lurking in the dark !!

- There are TWO PDAs you need to find in X18. Both are near dead scientist bodies that are wearing Ecologist suites. One body you can’t miss because it’s at off the stairway as you go down and have to explore the level. The other is ON the staircase but way further down just above the PSI area that kills you if you go any further. This 2nd one in particuar has a Door code on it. You need that to open a locked door that gives you access to the PSI controls that let you progress further.

- At the bottom floor (where you find the documents for the main quest) there is a “pit” in the back of the room with a zombie named “Elder”. Go down and talk to him and do his side quest, for which he gives you a Pendant. You will need it later in Yantar.

- Take and Save 5 rats, you’ll need them later at the army warehouse.

Clear Sky Contact at the Bar
- At the bar, after finishing X18. A member of clear sky will contact you and talk about artifact transumtions. He says meet you in the school (T shaped building in the far East of the bar), among other things, such as meeting his contacts in Agroprom for missions, and in Yanter for artifact stuff.

- You’ll need a strong Grav artifact for the professor, best to have the Clear Sky contact build one for you before you go to Yantar.

- Artifact is at Agroprom in the far west, there are dead bodies that have now spawned.

Yantar , the Professor

- He tells you to find TWO PSI prototypes , the grav shotgun and the grav artifact.

- PSI prototype 1 is in Lab X18 behind a locked door, he gives you the code
- PSI prototype 2 is in the Shining City (Dead City) in an apartment.
- Talk to the Freedom leader after doing some of his side quests (See Dead City section)

- The Grav shotgun is the one you got from Elder in X18 when you did his side quest.
- The Grav artifact comes from doing clear sky’s quest(s) from Agroprom.
- Found the Rusty hair artifact on my way to Agropom, got it from one of three Mercs in the garbage at the Northern entrance to Agropom.
- Artifact is behind the Institute, which is the southern building, have to go to the far SW.
- Clear Sky will ask you to bring him the artifact. He also has a weapon the barman wants. The Solution to both dilemas (and saving you from killing him youself) is that he gets killed after you get the grav artifact because Agropom gets swamped with mutants and kills everyone.
Alternatively, kill and loot everyone at Agropom before you venture out. Saves you having to wade your way through the mutants when you return.

- Entrance to X16 is from the “hangar” which is in the north part of the map. Not the centre.
(Once you get the psi helmet)

- On completion of lab X16 you will be contacted by the Doctor, in the swamps.

Silent Hills (Army Warehouse)
You will get an SOS, its coming from a stalker in the wooden shack at the swamp in the far East.

- Found the exoskeleton here. In the ‘freedom base’ in the SE, in one of the warehouses. Have to enter from the roof. Its broken so you’ll have to pay barman to fix it, but its worth it.

- Toad moves into his new Bunker after you complete lab X16. In the north.

Dead City (Shining Path)

The freedom trader will give you some side missions
-Find the lost Freedom crew near the school. This is the T shaped building in the SW
-Investigate the broken windows across the way.
This is the other Glory building on the other side of the town square.

From the Leader
- Find and disable the scientist’s device. Go to the little house on the SE outskirts of town.
- Then he finally tells you which apartment the Yantar scientist lives, that has the prototype.
Climb to the roof of the other Glory building and walk along the power lines
(Took me ages to figure out you can actually get to the roof)

- There is an NPC that ask you to find his cat. (I never found it.)

- Another NPC tells you about Journalist. He says
“he told me a story he said there are some kind of installations by the station. They were the cause of that emission that hit me back then. He’s searching the area for some documents.”
Which area, which station/installation he is referring to I have no idea, (never found them)

Brain Scorcer
- Brain scorcher lab has two locked doors. On 1 level down where you switch it off, and another at the bottom level which is for endgame
- Code for the 1st door is on a USB near a dead scientist on the same level, just have to look around

Pripyat
Nothing of note other than the school which contains the 7th document. Everything else seems to be empty.

NPP
- You wont be able to reach the Generator area straight away thanks to a psi field.
- Reach the Monolith first. Specifically the teleporter near the monolith (otherwise you’ll just get the bad ending). This teleports you back to the Cordon as a member of Monolith.
- You are then given the code for the bottom floor door of the Brain scorcher lab (5489), go there to disable the psi field blocking the generator room. Eventually you’ll make your way to the final lab.
-Use the ladder to climb from the core to the monolith. You can reach the ladder via the rim.

Final Lab
- There are two elevator shafts, but only from the bottom level can you access the ‘other’ one. Do so and climb the ladder up to the level that has an open door with a platform protruding out for you to jump onto. Thats the way out.

Additional: ^ this is just X8 from CoP, but I hadnt played CoP when I played OLR

THanks man for all this info. OLR Is magical but it has no english walkthrough or help. It can be very confusing. I will try to beat it again now with the current best possibly english guide which you have provided. Thank You.

No worries about the Necro. I will resort back to this thread for info when I try and play it again. Stalker is my favourite game and OLR is extremely ambitious and can be confusing at times. Im sure there are plenty of russian guides for it but nothing in english so this info is gold.

Cheers for the feedback. Perhaps I'll play it again and flesh out the notes more meticulously so it resembles a proper guide with an order and everything. That said, looks like OLR is removed from moddb and an OLR 3 is coming, which is exciting, so I might hold until more news comes out on that.
Thanks from me as well lads.

Funny enough i found my asnwer. The reason I couldn't progress through the story mates was because one of the main objectives (which were ALWAYS at the top of the mission pile) got lost in the mountain of side quests. I had to find military documents for toad in the Medpribor and of-intercoursing-course there was absolutely no indicator where to look for it. I found it after combing through the military complex TWICE. I guess another thing was that I found "Secret Document #3" there and thought "well this has to be it"

Swear to god for all the fecal matter the OLR fanboys throw at Lost Alpha at least the bloody quests give you at least some sense of direction and the objects you gotta find at least SOMEWHAT stick out from the mountains of rubble.

How Oblivion lost remake offers some of the best and worst Stalker gameplay at the same time is beyond me

:) Its a good idea to have around 7 or more rat carcasses period (if you get stuck, cannot jump out...)

The dark valley lab has more than enough (future)carcasses that don't even despawn.
But getting them raven bodies is another problem.

But hey, to those reading this post who want like a proper walkthrough, WojachPL has a full definitive OLR walkthrough, where he goes through many if not all quests and side quests.
