Call of Pripyat is not needed to play either, neither should be installed to COP, and the two have almost nothing common besides the map that Anomaly uses in part for it's connected game world.
BTW Neither, but Dead Air - in CoC family
Anomaly is if you're looking for more of a sandbox-like experience, adding any mods you want. Gamma is more linear and punishing from the getgo (though you can do that with Anomaly, hence sandbox). I prefer Gamma, as I like new things.
