Yantar scientist problem

Good morning, fellow stalkers. So i recently started a new run of the game since i was disappointed in getting the best of the worst endings, and now i am at the part where i am supposed to get readings with the assistant scientist dude. Only problem: he cannot go outside of the mobile lab. The door will not open, not for me, not for him. This kinda sucks 'cause i cannot proceed. Any advise?

Restart Yanter with your autosave. I'm guessing a zombie is wandering near the door & it won't open.

One of the many bugs. It's likely that a zombie isn't dead and is on the ground writhing nearby or that you have upset the poorly-coded faction system (scientists in the bunker are classified under duty) and have some enemies near the door as a result.

Yeah, this has bugged me for a bit.

If you haven't solved it yet, you may simply have to load an earlier save as marie pavie suggested. I've also seen it suggested that you try killing the loner guards in the bunker in case the faction system has bugged to the point where they regard you as enemies but won't attack.
