Not receiving steam key

I just purchased the game thru steam and downloaded it. When trying to play the game it will not open and displays a "failed to request product key" error. I have tried to verify the install and re-download the game. nothing has worked so far. Any Ideas???

Well, guess it's not just me.

Here's hoping Valve can fix this on their end but if GSC needs to be directly involved we might be out of luck for a while.

And in case anyone here bought the game since they saw it on sale but aren't actually aware, the developers GSC Game World are located in Kyiv, Ukraine.

If you got the bundle , both 'Call of Pripyat' and 'Clear sky' work , but SoC is missing activation keys.
