Should I replace the Stalker suit for the Berill 5?
Barkeep currently has one for sale, I have compared the stats for both suits but I am still not sure...

What danger in the zone do you feel most confident at dealing with? I'd buy a suit that's poor at protecting against that, and good at protecting against everything else.

If you feel confident you can win gunfights with your skill, buy a suit that protects against anomalies. If you feel confident evading anomalies and sneaking through anomaly fields, buy a combat suit. If you feel equally confident or unconfident in everything, buy a general purpose suit like a sunrise (stalker) suit or a SEVA.

Get the bright green suit at yantar, or the free seva on your way there. Get four or more Batteries & hang out in an Electro, your suit & health will recharge.

Nah, stalker suit always served me well. You can also avoid a lot of damage in this game by simply playing smart and not rushing it.

I think he is talking about the special Healing Berill, which has a great resistance to bullets and gives a small HP regen, and is obtainable at the Yantar plant on a dead military soldier near a group of Zombified sitting around a fire, its good but it is a quest item, and regarding the Battery part, if i recall theres this ancient (bug?) that lets you actually heal from taking damage but i thought that only applied to stacking 4-5 mama beads with bullets, effectively making you invincible in a shootout.

Four of the same 30% artifacts (over 100%) will repair if you go in the anomaly they came from. Batteries are quickest to find.
There are very few mama beads in the vanilla game & limited belt slots, but with some mods you can get health from getting shot. :p

I would recommend against it. I did exactly that and I was sorely disappointed with the Berill M5. It's only advantage is night vision. it's bullet resistant properties seem to deteroriate much too quickly.

Ironically, I had just come on to these forums for advice about the SKAT-9M for that exact reason, as I was just on the brink of buying it, but I am wondering if I should go straight for the exoskeleton.

imho the exoskeleton is a no no due to you cant run using it. For me mobility is way more important. That and night vision for stealth at night.

If you're playing on Master, invest on bulletproof armors.
