Obtaining the artifacts in the garbage surrounded by Whirligigs.

Is there a normal strategy for obtaining the artifacts that are scattered in the field to the East of the Car Park that is surrounded by Whirligigs? I'm not sure if it requires (1) a STALKER with stronger armor from the later game, (2) some path around the whirligigs to get inside, (3) some tool like a grappling hook that I don't have yet or (4) the whole thing is an elaborate taunt from the developers to lure in slowpokes like me.

Edit: ...or Idea #5. An activated Whirligig picks up artifacts and fires them in a random direction. With a few tries, it could fire the artifact in a benign direction without anomalies in the way.

There isn't any special technique, you can do whatever you want, shoot them, wait for the anomaly to launch them etc.
Garbage has plenty of artifacts that are very common and are not worth losing medkit after medkit, there will be better and easier to reach ones ahead.

You can use the demo_record glitch to pickup any unreachable items. The steps are:
1. Press and hold F button.
2. Pause the game (Pause/Break button on your keyboard).
3. Release F button.
4. Unpause the game.
5. Open the console and type demo_record 1.
You will enter the freecam mode and any items your crosshair hovers at will be picked up.
