Hello stalkers, i have recently been enjoying some Anomaly EFP and i'm looking into a more "hardcore less-forgiving" experience and since i'm data limited i'd rather ask here for your experience instead of burning 20giga+ of download to try both of them.

I haven't played much stalker since misery 1st big release and i remember finding it the best stalker moment i ever had. I simply loved the dark fearfull tone of the mod and its "realistic" approach.
I am now looking into those 2 mods since they seem to be much harder than Anomaly yet i can't find any real recent comparison. I am not necessarily looking for the biggest open world freeroam experience but rather a slow deadly hobo style early game where every small upgrade feels like an achievement and risky exploration is rewarding.
The only 2 things i am not into are :
-Extreme artificial difficulty ( i understand a minimum is needed for hardcore mods to an extent ) like hp-bloated enemies that need 50 headshots to be taken down.
- Too forgiving experience where i get a massive amount of weapons/armors way too early and steamroll the game without any sweat.

Thank you in advance to anyone reading and willing to guide and advise me through a mod choice.

A.R.E.A is still being worked on. It has potential but is nowhere near finished.

I see, but is it still playable besides being incomplete ?
