Which version of Stalker Soc steam has?

I want to buy stalker Soc on steam but if I do that there could be problems with the Compatibility with mods? Like for example the complete 2009 or Priboy story. Which version do they give? The 1.0005?

1.0006. Since some mods require 1.0004, there will be problems definitely.

If a mod has an adaptation for 1.0006 you need to install it, or if author says that his mods is compatible with 1.0006, the everything is ok.

Otherwise, you need to install 1.0004. Here's the instruction about how to downgrade from 1.0005+ to 1.0004 and install AMK mod: https://i.imgur.com/VLRrFx0.png. You can just downgrade without installing AMK :P

In my opinion, t's incorrect to say "proper" patch, because almost always proper patch is the latest version, which is 1.0006.

Clear Sky and Call of Pripyat latest patches are 1.5.10 and 1.6.02 respectively.
Most of the mods for these games were made for latest patch versions.

But for Shadow of Chernobyl the situation is different. Most of the mods were made for the outdated 1.0004 patch. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

yep is right, I forced the meaning with " Proper " i mean " proper for mods " I used to play on the 1.0005 and i played only the " elite mod " for the 1.0006.

Most of the fixes are for multiplayer, yes. But also there are generic fixes that affect singleplayer too.
Ah, and 1.0006 also introduced a crash when you're trying to eat something that is not in your inventory.

some mods have the required version of the game, and you can find patch files to upgrade or downgrade the version of the game.

You just don't know how to install mods on Steam SOC =)
