are there any mods for controller support

I know it's a no-duh that I should be using a mouse and keyboard because that's the optimal way of playing most fps's but my gaming PC is currently connected to my apartment's large a$s flatscreen. My choices are either lay on the carpet with mouse and keyboard, looking up at the tv or sit on the couch with a controller.
But yeah- are there any mods for controller support?

Zone is a harsh place, you must use the proper gear in order to survive. Unfortunately in this case you have to use mouse and keyboard because there aren't any mods to play this masterpiece of a game with a controller. Sorry.

You can try using the community configs in Steam. Connect the controller to the PC - Right-click on the game in Steam. - Manage - Controller configuration - Browse configs - Community. Select and Apply the config you like.

Thanks Orcher, but that didn't work for me. I tried your suggestion and the game is still ignoring the controller even though Steam recognizes it fine as an Xbone controller.

I have Xbone controller support enabled in Steam globally and in the game's management settings and still no go.

Also, are you a developer on this particular game? I've loved this game for so long, it's such a gem.

But, would adding proper controller support in a patch even after this much time really be that hard? Or do we have to pay again someday for some sort of "remaster"?

U have to Run Steam as admin and start stalker from ur steam libary. Now u can Use steam Controller settings
