Unique anomaly in the Red Forest?
When travelling through the Red Forest, I kept getting attacked by dogs that disappeared like the Brain Scorcher hallucinations after one shot. I never figured out whether they were supposed to be early hallucinations or if there is a unique anomaly in that level that keeps spawning them. I was under the impression that they kept coming from the same spot which would suggest the latter but I don't know why there would be a completely one-of-a-kind anomaly there. I haven't seen anyone mention this anywhere so I thought I'd ask here if anybody knows anything on this topic.

When your taking the short cut in the back through the red forest itself, the pseudo dogs that attack are from a pseudo dog with psy powers. You have to find this animal that is unleashing the attack and kill it. It is hidding behind a large rock some place North East if you entered after the Monolith check point from Freedom level..

Oh wow, thanks. I did not know about that pseudodog at all. Are there any others like it?

EDIT: Never mind, I've found it on the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. wiki. Apparently it's called a psy-dog. Thanks again for your help.

oh yeah sorry, I forgot, I couldn't remember the dog type, just the common breed.. when I first went back there a long time ago I was looking for it because I knew what I was being attacked by. Its a pain, sometimes you get mixed up because there are at times other pseudo dogs maybe with it. But there is ussaly only one psy dog..
