The second part, I forget but the bandits/mercs/whatever in the Wild Territory are there trying to get information from those scientists with the downed helicopter or something like that, and the scientist is threatening to destroy the files to the mercs, not to you. You're supposed to help the scientists.
Enjoy!
new players often dont understand that and keep getting mad at the game
My entire reason to go there was to find a guy's family rifle, and it's not there. I followed the arrow to a set of three lockers. Two of them were empty, one had a stash containing three yellow medkits. The game insists the rifle is there, but I don't see it.
Been playing ShoC for a bit now and can say that sometimes the dialog has me guessing, but oddly it fits into the atmosphere & confusion surrounding the "Marked One." I've been playing with the Complete mod and the "Family Rifle" was a straight (looked like a single barrel) shotgun and was not sawed-off; based on everything else I've read the vanilla weapon is a sawed-off shotgun, but the weapon is a shotgun regardless.
The family rifle did just look like any other sawed-off shotgun.
This is true, it is the grey/whitish container. I went in there before and due to the dark didn't even notice it.
Had to roll back an hour or so because I absent-mindedly dropped it while going full klepto on some bandit bodies...
