Now, on another note; If you're finding stashes that are empty then, you have to find a dead AI or, kill one, loot it to get the secret. Some times, after you kill and loot a dead body, you get what's in their inventory and nothing else but, may of them hold secrets as well. If you move on, then, come back to find that body still lying there, check him again and it may reveal the location for you. Once it does, the body will disappear or, you can use it as a stash location. it may also be one of the stashes you've already found that was empty. ;)
Basically, when you get the stash coordinates, it puts the stuff in the stash. BUT, if you die or end up changing levels back and forth, the stash could be respawned, in a way, without updating the contents to still have the stash items. It's on a per-level system.
So for example, if you just got the stash coordinates to stash 20 in Cordon (Just as an example I'm calling it Stash 20) and were in Cordon, then you could go straight to the stash and it would show up. But if you died and reloaded a save after getting the stash coordinates, then it has a possibility of ending up empty. And if you instead get the stash and then go to Garbage and then come back to Cordon it could also come up empty. But on a different note, if you were in Cordon and got Stash 21 for Dark Valley, then it doesn't matter what you do in Cordon or Garbage, etc. until you actually went to Dark Valley after getting the stash coordinates. But once you're in Dark Valley and have the stash coordinates, there's a possibility that dieing or going out of Dark Valley and back into it could make the stash come up empty.
It sounds messy but it's really simple actually: Make frequent saves with different names such as Stalker001, Stalker002, etc. The only way to completely avoid getting empty stashes is to A) Get the stash immediately if it's in the same level as you without dieing and without changing levels. and B) If the stash is for a level you're not in, then once you do go to that level, you'll have to get all the stashes you have for that level all at once, because even one reload upon entering the level could make some stashes show up empty.
It might be hard to explain, but it's really easy if you just remember to get all the stashes for a level as soon as you're in that level, as well as immediately get the stash that you just got information on if it's the same level as you're already in.
Alternatively, if you reload a save before getting the stash information, then it's safe as long as you follow the above rules. You could imagine, for instance, that once you get the stash info, so does some other stalkers and so you have to get them asap if you're in the level. But either way, it's just a strange quirk and can't be avoided unless you're already prepared to get all the stashes all the time.
If you see the purple stash thing on your map, and you already explored it and it won't go away:
Open the chest, put something in it and after that take it. This way it will be removed from the map :D!
Got any solutions on how to remove the "kill the bandits in the park" though :P?
