So it turns out, you won't find this information very readily on the stalker wikia or zone survival guide, that when NPCs become wounded they drop mint, perfection condition weapons. This is why zombies also end up dropping perfect condition SPAS 12s and TRs 301s, because they drop down wounded easily and spaz out.

It's particularly useful for the so and so amount of unique weapons, the Special Aks74u, the Sniper Obokan, the Storming Obokan, the Sniper SGis, etc. I just played a few hours through messing around at the army warehouses and can confirm that it's perfectly possible granted enough time to push two red barrels next to Leshiy and Twig in order to first weaken them, and then quicksave and retry over and over with the second barrel to perfectly hit them both equally into wounded, therefore getting two perfect condition Sniper SGIs.

One thing to note though is that you can't use this to repair your weapons, I've already tried a few times. They seem to only drop them as perfect condition when the weapon theoretically spawns on them. Likewise, they'll never drop the pistols at all when wounded, only put them away to be looted off their body in random condition. I tried this numerous times for the Silenced Kora and Martha and ended up just having to deal with the best condition I could draw given a few retries.

Just wanted to bring this to attention to some guys.
