Problem Installing S.T.A.K.L.E.R. Lost Alpha Development Cut

I downloaded all the files, installed 1.300 and 1.3003 patch no problem, when i install 1.400 I get

Expression : error handler is invoked!
Function : invalid_parameter_handler
File : xrDebugNew.cpp
Line : 828
Description :

I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it to no avail. I skipped the other files and just installed Lost Alpha Developer's Cut v1.4002 Big Patch, (Which has all the updates) after 1.3003, still having the same problem. The game only works on 1.3003.

How can I fix that error? I have no saved games or anything like that. I even tried to run it in compatibility mode and it still did not work. I am at a lost what to do now.

If anyone can please help i will really appreciate it.

P.S. If no one knows how to fix it, an upload of someone's working game at 1.4002 (Not including their saved games) would help as well just to see if it is my computer or my installation.

Well, if you read the install directions..you'd have done this

Install 1.300...then 1.4002..that's it

Glad it works. Sorry I sounded a little harsh, I was running on little sleep. I know it's not a great excuse.
