Missing downloaded files?

So basically, I have TPF1 (who would have figured out). The game by itself is enjoyable but one thing I really like doing is installing mods on it. So basically, I install a lot of mods, and I installed some mods just earlier, however, I couldn't find them in game on the loading menu. I also went to the "free game" menu to try and see if I could start a new game and have the mods. Still no luck. So I did some digging around on the downloads area and found that it tells me this:

Missing downloaded files. So I need some help to fix this, I couldn't find anything to help me with it (no useful YT videos, no useful google searches) so now I'm taking it to Steam. Any solutions?

TL;DR: Mods won't download because of "Missing Downloaded files", looking for help

Within steam when you subscribe to a mod does it download ?

And in game does the 'no costs' mod enable ok ?

The first question, most mods it does download, but only 74 are shown in TPF. The second question, yes, 'no costs' works perfectly.

Take a look in the Workshop mods area on your system to try to work out what is happening and maybe download another one to see if it goes into the folder ok.
