Terminal not getting ore
My terminal is near the Iron Ore mine, but is not getting anything. Why? The train is hemeraging money as a result. I couldn't see the catchment area as there was no road and it seems not to show cachment area unless there is a road to connect to. But its close to the mine.

Needs a road. Also the ore needs a place to go. Make sure the ore is going to be processed and that the plant processing it can ship the final goods somewhere too. Check the mine and see if it says line usage as well. Connect the road and check to see if catchment area hits it.

I think I got it all figured out. Unfortunatly I just ran out of money so I can't reconnect the line. This is just as bad as Train fever were a player uses up their cash just trying to figure out how to make things work and as a result the game becomes a chore rather than fun. This is not a good launch.:steamsad: I would have used steam sad, but there isn't one.

It's still possible to build a passenger terminal when you mean to build a cargo terminal!

I'm having a similar issue on the first America campaign mission. I have a wagon running from the ore mine to near my station but the wagons aren't picking anything up at the mine despite the depots being placed within range.

I'm wondering if the issue is passenger vs. freight stations or something else I need to do? My train has cars on it for picking up the ore so that's ready to go.

Keep in mind there is an autosave happening - if you screw yourself by mis-placing a station, track or road just load the last autosave. It's not save-scumming if you're just trying to overcome beginners' mistakes.

Same problem... the chains are broke. Oil refinery is not adding to the chain. Yes everything is set up correctly.

I made the mistake of building passenger stations instead of Cargo Stations. Did you check your station type also are your cars set to the right material?

I can't seem to figure out how to get Iron Ore line to work.tried several things. This game seems more beta than playeble game.

I'm having the same exact problem on the campaign mode. I'm not sure if it's bugged or broken. Doing everything correctly I believe. Double checked that it's frieght station and that I've purchased the correct cars for the train.

I will say that the campaigns are unforgiving for sure.If you screw up and waste money then your going to have to start a earlier save. You also need to go slow and set up grain lines and make sure your passenger lines go from station 1-2-3-4-3-2 if not your sure to lose money.
The frieght train station placed near the ore mine needs to be close enough to highlight the mine then the same at the factory.Once you get tools made you need to make 2 2 truck depots to transport them to the city for sale.
I seem to have a similar problem in Free Mode but in a weird way. When I set up the freight line the industry is producing well over 50 units of cargo. However as time goes on the production rate drops to 0 and tells me to try and ship more cargo. My trains can load upto 35 units of cargo at first and it fill up to 85% of the cars. Then after the third time it only loads about 5 units. Back when I played Train Fever Coal and Passengers were the most profitable industry. In Transport Fever Passengers are just as profitable but unless there is something I am missing there is just no reason to connect the various industries.

It seems all the chains are broken
Actaully that isn't the case. I just found out that the entire chain has to be completed before you start getting any sort of profit. So trying to start with shipping coal is not recomended. It is best to start with simple chains before you can even think about doing the more complex chains. I just now got the achievement to have an industry upgade and it was because I was shipping grain and livestock to a food processing plant then shipping the food to a near by town. All this by just using trains.

This is what I found as well. The entire chain needs to be hooked up in most cases. For food and crude, it's not the case. But for everything else it seems to be that way. Hook everything up.
