Please make sure your system meets the minimal system requirements:
  • OS: Windows 7, 8 or 10 (64­bit) or OS X 10.9.5 (64­bit) or Ubuntu 14.04 (64­bit)
  • Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 3.0 GHz
  • Memory: 4 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260 or ATI Radeon HD 5670, 1 GB VRAM
Running Transport Fever with Intel Graphics chips is not recommended. Therefore, make sure a dedicated graphics card is available and activated.

If you have purchased Transport Fever without noting your system does not meet the minimal requirements, refunding the game is possible here.

In the following please find solutions for the most common issues:

1. Change language

In the Steam client, go to the games library and right-click Transport Fever in the list. Then under Properties there is a Language tab. Choose English (or your preferred language)!

2. The game crashes at startup or during initialization of a new game

With high probability this problem can be solved by installing the latest graphics card drivers. Please find the latest graphics card drivers under the following links:

NVIDIA: http://www.geforce.com/drivers

3. You are using a laptop and the game does not work

If you are using a laptop with two graphics cards, make sure that you select the dedicated / more powerful card as the primary device in the graphics card settings.

4. You see black textures

It is known that 3rd party software like the Raptr Software or the Gaming Evolved App (which both ship with AMD´s Software) or MSI Afterburner and xSplit Gamecaster can cause this kind of problems. Deactivate them before starting the game.

5. The main menu is not or only partially visible after changing the resolution

Press ALT-ENTER in order to switch from full screen to window mode. The window mode will then correctly display the main menu and you can adjust the settings again.

6. The mouse cursor movement is restricted

Try to disable the automatic DPI-scaling at high resolutions. Close Transport Fever and navigate to the installation directory in the Windows Explorer (or right click on Transport Fever in the Steam library and under local files click “Browse local files” to get there). Right click TransportFever.exe, select properties and under the compatibility tab check “Disable display scaling on high DPI settings. Under Windows 10 also try to set the size of text, apps and other Elements to 100%. This setting can be found under System -> Screen.

7. The main menu is gray and nothing is clickable

This happens when you are signed on to your Steam client, but there is no longer a internet connection available. To solve this problem either restore the internet connection or launch Steam in offline mode before starting the game

8. When starting the game you see a message box with title “OpenGL context creation failed”

In this case your graphics card or driver does not meet the minimal system requirements (support for OpenGL 3.2 is needed). If your graphics card meets the minimal system requirements, installing the latest graphics card drivers will solve this issue.
