The players goal job in this game is not to move goods around, it is to provide a transportation service that allows other people to move goods around. It's a very important distinction.
Goods will only travel in your vehicles to get to someplace that wants them. All supply chains must start with the raw materials that come from places like quarries, which only produce, and end with the commercial or industrial buildings in a city, which only consume.
Intermediary facilities like the saw mill can provide demand on their own for a short time, until their internal inventory is full of output, but a supply chain can only continue to operate once it is complete, from raw material to city.
As for truck stations, depending on the size, they have 2 or 4 platforms, which are separate inventories. If possible, new lines will be directed to an unused platform, or if they are all in use, the least used platform.
In a nutshell, nothing is being shipped because you are assuming the movement of goods is supply driven, when it is actually demand driven. You need to set up a complete network of transport lines. Also note than vehicles must travel a new line for bit (usually they need to visit every stop) before it will start to work, so even once you are set up properly, it could be a while before things start to work.
I'm talking about the different routes in a truck depot that are created when clicking on it and again and again. If you haven't discovered this then you don't know what I'm talking about.
I have demand for goods from depot because some trucks pick it up however others on a diferent route inside the depot aren't but I want to know why or how to setup.
