What is Pip supposed to be?

I'm not talking about what kind of animal it is but about the fact that its an animal... just random one... because i don't see any connection between champions in the game. They all look like made at random. Grab random animal give it weapon give it name call it a day.

Champion design are way more compley than that and there are only 3 animals in the game if we consider Drogoz, if not then it's just Makoa and Pip.

EDIT: And those animals are not even random Pip for example is based on some kind of fox, foxes are said to be sly creatures just like a thief and Pip is a thief.

You just proved how shallow is his concept.

Btw... Pip in the game isn't even thief, his a medic so how does "foxes are said to be sly creatures" fits into his role? It doesn't. On top of that yes these animals are random as hell because you can take freaking armadillo and it wills till work instead turtle.

His role in a game is medic there is nothing even releated to thief in his concept.

What is he doing in the game when you play him? His healing therefore his role is a medic. The fact that his lore doesn't even fit his role in the game is mindboggling. Someone in Hirez is just screweing around making up stuff which doesn't work in a big picture.

You don't need to be a kind doctor in lore to be a support in the game, there is Thrash in LoL for example in his lore he used to be a sadistic torturer and after he died his soul came back so he can continue torture people. Pip stole a alchemical gun that can heal people so why not use it to make money? That's his main focus and the reason he is fighting.

But that doesn't matter because there is a lore, the lead designer said it multiple times already and if you try to piece things together you can already figure a good chunk of it out.

If they had solid story and lore they would build on it while telling epople the story of in game world. Instead this game started as "clone" of OW without any reasonable base story with quite random group of champions based on core concepts from OW. When i first played this game i didn't know what they are doing because group of champions which was in game didn't make sense as whole. The way this game is being developed is proving that they are building this game from the middle and they go back to fill the gaps and then forward to fill even more gaps. This is what happens when they build game on someone elses ideas and don't tell me they don't becasue we can make comparition of Paladnis and OW and it will be embarrassing for hirez.
