As far as I know there isn't a system like in Ark Survival Evolved where I can "transfer" my character and all their knowledge/learned recipes to another server/map. So unless there's a way to travel between the two maps it's seems pretty stupid to allow recipes to be learned that you could never make without using admin commands or something.
Damn, that's a huge bummer. :C The weapon/armor recipes I got seemed really cool so I was excited to try them out once I managed to get my hands on Eldarium. I guess I'll keep my fingers crossed that they either;
A) remove the Schematic Fragments entirely and replace it with some other rare/nice Exiled Lands loot
B) add Eldarium as a potentially rare drop to the event itself
or
C) Maybe remove the Isle of Siptah recipes from the pool of potential recipes you get when combining the Schematic Fragments.
Well I guess it's nice knowing that there's just no natural way to get the materials so I'm not constantly trying to search for it.
That's true! I'm playing with my bf and a few of his friends but we're both typically really against using admin cheats for anything short of an emergency or something like that (like if someone fell through the world or got unnaturally stuck in the environment)[/].
But since it's just not a naturally occurring resource on the Exiled Lands map we'll just ignore any recipes we unlock that end up using Eldarium.
That would be super awesome and honestly that's what I thought it was going to be when I first got the DLC. I guess I've played too much Ark Survival Evolved cause I was fully expecting to be able to "travel" to the Isle itself with the same character that I started out with on the Exiled Lands map. Hopefully they'll consider a system like that for any future DLC maps that they add!
Yes, exactly like Ark server clusters I'd like to see a similar system for Conan whereby it would be possible to move between the two maps. Even if it cost resources to power some sort of sorcery portal, it would be nice to at least have the ability.
Yeah, aside from a "World collision", it's actually strictly part of the lore. You are trapped on that island. Having a boat to take you off of it would conflict with that lore.
What they could do though, is have this be an option once you've completed the story, (since lorewise, this would actually work). And, all things considered of what Siptah really is, it would be fine entering siptah at maximum level, since the materials and progression is just sparatically accessible and all over the place.
I have a feeling that they -are- going to tie these together, and are just building up to it. The surge creatures you see in exiled lands now, are actually from Siptah, meanwhile the surges on siptah, show the exiled lands in the portal, indicating that you are opening portals from siptah to exiled lands, and syphoning thralls from it to siptah. Likewise, I suspect the opening of the portals (from exiled "players" on siptah) are the reason we are actually seeing those events on exiled lands, with the creatures pouring through.
It's all there, they just need to get onto it and make it a thing.
You could just move your character to another server even if it was a Siptah one. So lots of clans still have endless bodyvaults full of eldarium and advanced gear made with knowledge brought over from Siptah.
For the others though, even thou it's a bit of a necro thread atm, if you're on your own server or SP, back then at someone's request in the workshop section I did make a mod which made those MiGos at the Yuggoth event drop Eldarium as well.. Since then Funcom "fixed" their unintended distribution of recipes so to keep it viable as a 'thing' for those few people using the mod I readded those recipe schematics as well.
