I've never seen anything like this, even on games where it's possible for me to attain a negative premium currency balance because the currencies can be traded among players (in Warframe, for example, it was once very common for people to buy the premium currency -- platinum -- and then do chargebacks to get their money back after trading the currencies). I'm never touching Crom Coins again, even if I were given free coins to compensate for the lockout.

Sorry, Funcom. I love your game and loved supporting it above and beyond the one-time purchase, but if you want to take people's money, you need to make sure you can handle it. You tell us all the time to be responsible with our accounts. You need to do that too.

Please release some more standalone DLCs.

Well, while this is a very negative issue and I can absolutlely understand the anger, I still vaguely remember that I already have seen something like this already.

Besides that, for me personally the point to decide if I will buy additional crom points isn't the fact, that they've really broken this ♥♥♥♥, it's how long they'll take until everyone can play again.


What bugs me personally(!) more is that they also introduced alot of other issues with the latest patch and that they will stay until mid january because of the holiday vacation.
I personally think a message like "hey, we need to delay the chapter 3 release due quality issues and can't fix them in time because of the holidays" would most likely have lead to some frustration, but overall the mood of the community would most likely have been better than it is right now.

Cool, but I don't wanna see another Crom Coin again after all this. If they do DLCs, I'll buy those. DLCs never prevented me from playing the game. Crom Coins have.

On average they ♥♥♥♥ up every third update and never do roll backs (because they can't).
They have to change that or they'll lose what's left of their customer base.

I really would like to see the statistics after this incident, how many gamers still are willing to pay.
Because I definitely won't ever buy any Crom Coins again. I will collect the 1,200 in the challenges to get the next battle pass, but that's it.

I paid for croms in past and never had this bug. Makes me wonder what causes it. My account was fine no need to appeal or do jack my balance came out fine. ♥♥♥♥ a ton of people came back with no issues for thsi patch probally bought a season pass already lol

No idea. Glad it's over with for the most part, but if I see another Crom Coin again it'll be too soon. @_@

They pushed a hotfix the day of the incident to prevent new logins from being authenticated incorrectly and blocked out, but the issue remained for those who were already effected. They had to manually go in and correct the account issues for everyone effected one by one. They are probably still going through tickets and continuing to free people from the error.

So if you logged in and your crom coins were where they should be, it means you logged in after the hotfix and were thus unaffected.
