Supposedly better than either basegame maps and among other talented modders, also has one of the Funcom devs working on it in his spare time :P
Why? (These is my least played map so far, under 100 hours. It looks like a patchwork map for me. But I can be convinced.)
This one's an interesting experience. I personally didn't enjoy it due to the oppressive amount of fog and foliage limiting visibility, but I respect the creator's intent behind that. I think he wanted a mysterious jungle island that induced feelings of dread, and he accomplished that. It would not have the same impact without the suffocating feel of the jungle closing in on you all the time. It's just not the environment I prefer, I like my open spaces, and I kind of get headaches in games where I can't keep my bearings.
Mag Mell is a new map in development I have also tried and think is gorgeous and has lots of potential. It is usable now but I think still being worked on so things might change or be added to.
Snowhunter is an amazing map modder. He makes several map additions to the base map that are must haves for me if I play Exiled Lands. He is currently working on a full new map. It is still in active development but is worth keeping an eye on. If anything has potential that one def does based solely on his past work!

Ok so I subbed to this Mod and installed it, but I dont see any new land mass or another map. How do access the Savage Wilds? is there a Portal or something?
Pro Tip: Your games on each of these actual maps are different saves. I totally did not know that at first and thought I was always rewriting my whole game when changing maps. Nope! You'll have your Exiled Lands save still intact and have a new Savage Wilds game. It will only erase if you tell it to erase while set to that particular map. :)
So I select Single Player/CO-OP - New Game and choose Savage Wilds as the map?
I dont want to delete my Main game.
By default even when using Savage Wilds it will always default to Exiled Lands as the primary option each time you log in (unless you just use the continue game function and it puts you straight through to your last played game) and you will have to keep manually switching to Savage Wilds each time you want to use that map.
