Max level after killing 1 guy

Hi, I'm new to the game, me and some friends started playing Conan and while we were fighting some random guys I went from like lvl 10 to lvl 61 and I don't think this is normal.

Definatley not normal it is a mod that did it. Max unmodded level is 60.

Modified the XP gain via the sliders in the settings menu +
Modified the multiplier in the settings menu too

If this isnt true then its a mod

They're correct. Unless you are on an official server, you don't need to have modded your system for the server you are on to have been modded by its administrator. If you hit level 61, then this is by default a mod related bug. It literally is impossible to go past level 60 otherwise.

You may not have modded the game but if you're playing on a modded server that could happen too...I think.

To get on a modded server you have to download and install the mods or it wont let you koin the server.

I really don't know what to believe.

They will always blame the mods because they will never ever under any circumstances admit that the game is riddled with bugs.

I had the same thing happen in ffxiv steam forums, asked a question about smth not working and instead of coming with a solution to the problem I had 3-4 guys blaming me for random things, idk why I keep coming back to forums, filled with d riders

No mod involvement necessary.

The exp gain is defined by server settings, which the host, or anyone who activates admin mode can adjust ingame at any time.

The leveling to 61, is not possible through exp gain alone, but anyone with access to admin can go beyond 60, via the "+level" button.
It may also be possible with console controls.

So if it wasn't you, then one of your friends was messing with you with admin controls.
My bets are that whoever was playing with your char sheet accidently pressed that +1 button too many times.
