Does armor with stats benefit thralls if they wear it?
I'm curious if the bonus stats on armor affect thralls. I know they get the tiny amount of HP from armor that has it. (+100 HP is a lot for a player. It's worthless for any thrall worth keeping. OnO ) What about stats like "Concussion damage" or "Follower damage"?

I'd assume *maybe* they benefit from Concussion, assuming they're equipped with a knockout weapon. It's hard to tell, since the game *never* displays how much concussion damage a weapon does to begin with.

I would hope that they benefit from armor that adds +Strength weapon damage or +Agility weapon damage. (Again, assuming they're holding a weapon of that type.) But what about armor that adds "+Follower damage?" Is that a stat that only affects the player? (And only if you aren't using War Party, obviously.)

Yes, they get the benefit from +strength if they have a strength weapon and +agility if they have an agility weapon. They only get +follower damage if you are wearing +follower armor, and you do not have the war party perk.

Thralls get nothing from + stamina armor.

+concussion damage can help if they are using a truncheon. Go thrall hunting with your thrall wearing a full set of Lemurian Royal armor and you will notice the difference.

Thank you, that is very helpful. I guess I need to get a set of Skelos Cultist Master armor for the thrall I use on capture runs. She ended up rolling a lot of agility anyway, so I'd been taking her with on the assumption she'd do less "real" damage by accident. (Collateral damage with the club, or actual damage when she derps and starts punching everyone.)

I think Cultist Master armor is probably one of the better all-around armors? And it has +Agility damage as a bonus stat, so I can give her a katana or something so she doesn't get nibbled to death by the random suicide hyenas or all the danger noodles hiding in the sand around the Den.

The Skeleos Cultist Master's armor has +agility, +concussion and +follower damage. The +follower damage won't help if it is worn by your follower. Thralls are not disadvantaged by wearing heavy armor, so your thrall is better off with a +agility heavy armor -- Stygian Soldier if you don't have any DLC's.

For general combat, maybe. I'm specifically trying to build a "thrall taker" follower - the +follower damage won't help, but if she's holding the club the +Concussion will, and if we're travelling she can use a katana or daggers to stab any random scorpions or hyenas or other pests that try to attack, to take advantage of the +Agility damage.

I already have a couple of different named thralls (thanks headhunting!) for more direct combat. If I just need stuff to be dead, I've got a Dalinisa Snowhunter and a Frigga Falsehope that rolled a lot of extra strength and vitality, and a set of Redeemed Legion armor with Bulk Plating for each of them. I can take one or the other most of the time, or both if I'm actually using War Party.

Full heavy armor with bulk plating would offer more protection, but I'm not planning on taking her anywhere near anything that can punch through the medium armor to begin with.

I do wish the crafting descriptions mentioned what bonuses an item had. It's a lot annoying that I either have to exit the game and wiki, or actually build a set of the armor to find out that oh... it's +Stamina armor, and therefore useless to thralls except to steal the appearance with the Sorcery station. ( OnO )

If you use mods... ;)

Thank you, but I personally don't use mods. Been there, done that, had a savefile with hundreds of hours of progress irreversibly corrupted in another game when the game updated... and the mod did not because the creator no longer played. And it turned out that trying to remove the mod was just as damaging as leaving it broken.
