If you take that katana to the sorcery table, I think there's a way to make another weapon look like the katana. Havent messed with it yet, but I did see the slots for it.
fortunately DLC armors work fine compared to base but the best armors are specific drop/treasure chest only anyways so once again no point...
also for some reason katana is the only weapon that only has either iron or epic versions while other weapons get all the stuff in between (stone, steel, hardened steel), if you are on singleplayer I suggest yamatai exiles mod that adds all the missing ones and some more (some are op imo) but at least you can use the combat playstyle at more than 1 point during leveling
DLC are cosmetic only

The epics are on parr where they should be, it's the iron ones that are "weird" and do less damage than their equivelent counterparts, for the same crafting cost.
It's not such a bad thing though, since they -are- free to unlock, and can be crafted earlier than the actual iron weaponry.
But yes, as mentioned above, now you can use the enchanting table to use them as the actual skins they were originally meant to be, so it does work out, albeit at double the resource costs...
Luckily I have a mod that does the same thing though so it doesnt really matter
No, sorcery is pure vanilla, but is a world discovery recipe. Sorcery, like other "discoveries" do not appear in your feats list until you locate them in the world.
As you defeat sorcerers that you see sitting around at sacrificial tables, there is a chance they might drop a dead sorcerer's map. Get that, and you can get started unlocking sorcery.

A regular Katan does 23 health damage except for the Nemedian Katana. It does 17. This is the same for all of the normal Katanas.

The upgraded Katanas made with Star metal all do 48 damage. It does not matter the type.

This is the star metal Yamatai Katana. Yes, those numbers are correct since I had my bladesmith craft the weapon. As for what I run with in my kit, all of them have been upgraded with the durability kit. There is an 11-point bonus added to the blades she makes.
Adding a sharpness kit will increase the damage and penetration you get from the weapons.
I am trying to transmog a 2h broadsword
You cannot transmog a broadsword with a katana, they must be the same weapon class.
All one handed axes can transmute with one handed axes, all two handed hammers can transmute with 2 handed hammers, bows transmute with bows, shortswords with shortwords. You cannot transmog a longsword with an axe.
Katana is the only two-handed agility melee weapon in the game.
Alternatively, the daggers, claws, chakram, and Whirlwind blades are duel-handed agility weapons.
Look closely. They are all the same stats, but different skins. Since Katana was new at the time of this DLC, I suppose they wished to add variations of skins to atleast fill the gaps of having no other katanas. They have a different thumbnail, and they have a different skin ingame aswell.
