How TF do you Co-Op?

Keep trying to invite my friend via the in-game option as it isn't allowing me to invite simply from Steam Overlay. He keeps getting "Aviate is currently not playing on any game's server."

You can't invite them to a single player game. You have to start a co-op game then invite....Or you doing that and its not working?

Single Player/Co-Op game creation is the same option from the main menu, there is nothing that changes between the two, you just invite someone or you don't.

Me and my brother tried and tried and tried. We have no idea how the hell to get this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ co-op ♥♥♥♥ to work in this game. Now we cant play the game due to servers being full up.

It will take like, 20 minutes of work, but alternatively try hosting a server from your PC instead. Have to open ports and do some extra leg work, but worth a shot.

We are having the same problem.
We played coop in the Early Access and wanted to start a new game today, but can't connect to eachother via steam. The join game or invite to game buttons are greyed out.
We tried to verify the files and also restarted the game + computer + modem, everything, but still no luck :(
Anyone else having this problem?

Co-op worked fine for me and a friend, all invites/join game were used through the steam chat window though.

Just tried it again and the "join game"" option is still greyed out.
Its just weird, because two days ago during Early Access we had no problems.

We found something that works for us.
When you right click on the friends name in the steam list during the game is loading by the host, then you can join.
Once the game is loaded the join game button is greyed out for some reasons.
