Easy way to get exp
Most of you higher level already know this or not idk. If you're like me and was struggling to lvl so i can finally venture out north then start killing antelopes. Idk what it is about antelopes but they give a huge amount off exp.

Concerning spiders: it's a good idea to be an archer stacking Accuracy, using a good bow (Hyrkanian?) and do NOT leeroy jenkins your way into a spider den. Approach it with small steps till you aggro a spider. Stand behind a shoulder-height rock, blocking its poison attacks and jump-shoot him in between his attacks or behind a tree and strafe-shoot him in between poison attacks. Be well aware of where all the spiders in the area are. Only do this during day and pick the same spots over and over, so you know them like your back pocket.

Only when the last spider is slain should you start axing their bodies for gossamer and ichor.

Yeah like i said i'm still learning and i knew making this thread had a risk of getting flamed by other people who might say my idea is ♥♥♥♥. But that's a good idea i realized earlier that you just get exp by waiting and doing nothing.

For spiders, I just sword and board it. Hold shield up and advanced, poison doesn't damage shield. Get close, wait on poison spit. Step forward, swing, hold shield up as it walks backward. Rinse and repeat. But I play heavily melee so.. /shrug.

P.S. Amusingly, thats the only good thing the shield is for. Negating ranged attacks. Thing breaks waayyy to fast from melee hits.

Skeletons are fairly good xp too and not hard to kill.

How to kill at low lvl without relying on Arrows.
For easy & fast xp.
I mainly use the iron spear. But this is all doable with the rock sword.
Note : as soon as you can, build the Cauldron and make Aloe extract (hp regen) Not for low lvls :(. unless playing with others, who can give you some.

Antelopes , Deer and the other one : very good xp
all easy. Spear from behind. should be able to kill it before it gets away. If if does escape after a coupld of hits. Wait crouched (to regain stamina) then sprint & stab. Or just use an arrow or 2 for easier finish at this point.

Ostrich : great xp
Run behind it, then before it agroes as you get very close crouch/sneak, then stab it from behind. If done right, they do not agro and you can kill it in 3-5 hits (lower str = more hits). It will Not agro after being hit, unless it turns and sees you. (Ai needs a fix on this one)

Rhinos , all : good xp
get past the head, near the hind legs. Side strafe while it tries to turn to hit you and slash or stab (i use the spear, slower but better damage), you can stay out of its hit box and kill them easily without being forced to use arrows. Note: the harder , tougher rhinos can take alot of damage. At low lvl only do this on Greys ... unless your pro.:)

Spiders (crippling - NOT posion) : ok xp
Spear, sprint at angles towards it, dodging the spits, then a coupld of jabs and they die. They have little hp. Same can be done with poisonous spiders, but if you can't dodge reliably, then bring some Aloe extract with you, so you dont die from the poisons dot.

Gators - Crocodiles: good xp
Spear or sword, they stop and have a long'ish animation to bite. Backup, wait a second or two, move in & strike. Repeat, for easy kills.

I will copy and paste the exp breakdown from reddit but yes antelopes give like 1,750 exp and everything else it depends on the tier of the enemy

C&P NOW
Harvesting EXP: 3-4 exp per strike for mining stone. 3-4 exp per strike for chopping trees. 1 exp per gather of grass/egg/etc.

Building Craft Exp:

Campfire: 140 exp.
Sandstone Foundation: 96 exp.
Sandstone Wall: 49 exp.
Stonebrick Foundation: 785 exp. (T2: Level 20)
Stonebrick Wall: 413 exp. (T2: Level 21)
Wooden Box: 248 exp.
Armorer's Bench: 787 exp.
Furnace: 944 exp.
Blacksmith's Bench: 2801 exp.
Carpenter's Bench: 963 exp.
Tannery: 918 exp.
Firebowl Cauldron: 2231 exp. (Level 15 recipe, requires Level 20 Iron Reinforcement lol)
Temple to Religion: 1041 exp. Upgrading Temple: 14,509 exp.

Smelting/Tanning/Cooking give ZERO Exp atm.

Gear Craft Exp:

Hunting Bow: 103 exp.
Arbalest: 331 exp.
Stone Sword: 99 exp.
Iron Broadsword: 218 exp.
Flinthead Arrows: 52 exp. Ironhead Arrows: 62 exp. Coarse Tunic: 43 exp.
Coarse Pants: 31 exp.
Light Chest Piece: 97 exp.
Light Wrap: 77 exp. Wooden Shield: 70 exp .
Wooden Targe: 28 exp. (Triple checked this, this is accurate, literally gives less exp than the Wooden Shield craft!)
Iron Targe: 196 exp.

Repairing gear gives ZERO exp atm.

Kill Exp: All kills done on Tier 1 enemies, Tier 2/3 enemies offer greatly increased exp but are harder. For example a Tier 1 spider is 222 exp, but a Tier 2 spider is 876 exp and a tier 3 spider is 2,622 exp. Higher tiers have different colorations normally, take more damage to kill, and are more dangerous, but as demonstrated yield multiple times the exp.

Little Turtles: 222 exp, take one hit from anything.
Rabbits: 219 exp, take one hit from anything.
Big Mean Turtle: 441 exp.
Antelope: 1,750 exp. Tested multiple times. Surprising.
Imp: 221 exp.
Crocodile: 877 exp.
Emu: 2190 exp.
Hyena: 440 exp.
Rhino: 876 exp.
Rockdog: Also 876 exp.
Spider: 222 exp.

Human Exiles: Were not giving exp in single player for some reason during testing.

Observations:

Crafting exp isn't just less good, it's absolutely atrocious considering the time investment. It awards a mere fraction of kill exp and even killing the easiest things in the game is more worth it then even tier 2 items. Even killing only imps, big turtles, and little turtles/rabbits is much MUCH better exp than T2 crafting. I do not want crafting EXP to even be close to the exp you get from killing. But right now crafting exp is incredibly low, so low it's not even funny. Killing should always be the best leveling option, but right now it is the ONLY option.
Some exp values like the temple upgrade exp looks like a big number but again keep in mind how much time it takes to get and refine all the resources for something like the temple upgrade. 3,500 stone, 2 hours of smelting, and 600 wood. You could get an entire level by killing during the time it took you to gather the ingredients alone and the temple awards 11% of the exp for level 20 > 21.
You can get significant amounts of resources by killing humanoid exiles. This includes things like stone, ironstone, plant fiber, coal, wood, bark, and more. In fact it's actually easier and faster to get some things like plant fiber and bark by farming the proper exile camps. On an small to mid sized camp camp I'd get roughly 200 ironstone + alot of other resources for example. A direct harvesting run for me would yield about 500 ironstone, but none of the other resources. This with me being in light armor and with an iron broadsword.
Some enemies do not feel as if their exp is relative to their difficulty. There are some standout examples even like Antelope, albeit if they fix their AI that may be more appropriate later.

Another tip for spiders is to have an shield on you to block their ranged attacks it won't break as quick because it's not physical damage (will help keep stack of poison down and allow you do stop damage while using any type of regen potion/food)
