Team Fortress 2

Chance for rewards
According to several sites, those new MannUp hats are still pretty rare. That made me wonder: Doesn't every win result in getting one of those hats?

Turns out winning is a random drop of anything. A weapon or something.

Every TOUR gets a cosmetic. 6 missions, which means 6 tickets.

I know, that's pretty damn ♥♥♥♥.
I thought every win = 1 hat. But I haven't tried it yet. I've waited 20 mins with a full 6-players party to join AN EMPTY SERVER, and then we failed all the time. We only could make it through first wave..

no, every time you finish a mission you get one random item (wrangler, machina, etc)
after you complete all of the missions you get one of the items.

only a win in Mann Up mode mission would guarantee an item drop, but to get one of the rare hats or, presumably the Botkiller weapons that were ninja'd into the update, you have to win a Tour of Duty. that requires multiple purchases of the mann mode ticket, and for your party to have purchased those ticket.
Reply #1 is right, #2 is not right. You have to complete an entire tour to get a MvM item. The rest of the time, you get a random weapon drop, and maybe a chance at an MvM item? But so far no one has gotten one and confirmed it. Only guaranteed way is to finish the whole tour on a Mann Up server. I'm avoiding that for now and playing with friends on a private rented server.

omg. At least Robo-Heavy-Head-Items all sucks, except the wrench.

Just played one and won. Mann up, someone also had that surplus ticket, whatever the h it's called, so everyone got 2 items. Three players got a MvM item (medic backpack or a metal hat for some class), one got a regular hat (tam-o-shanter), me and another pour soul got two common weapons.

Pretty disappointed that even using a surplus ticket can get you nothing, especially given how difficult the damn mission was. I mean it was really cool to beat, but getting a mad milk and a scotsman's skullcutter for 2 hours of play isn't exactly the best.

Basically, non- mann-up mode is way too easy to be fun, and mann-up mode ishard enough to be challenging, but the rewards make me feel like crap.

I was just in a match with 4 surplus ticket holders... I got 5 common weapons :( Took like an hour just to get through the last wave successfully, so I felt robbed!
I just finished my first game of 7 waves, I got the new spy hat. The team I was playing with had 3 surplus tickets, I got some random junk, 2 craft hats and The Stealth Steeler. I'm pretty lucky it would seem. My friend got 2 of the hats in 1 game via surplus tickets.

So perhaps you get common stuff from just finishing a mission, but have the chance for rare items either by completing a tour or when somebody uses the surplus ticket. I didn't play it yet, so can't confirm.
Nope, you can also get hats without finishing all the Tours but it's random. I saw some guy get the tin helmet 2000, whatever it's called.
i saw someone get his 3rd mission on "Steel Trap", and he got the "U-Clank-A".
Everyone was jelly xD
