Cant spend money on MvM

Okay, so this is the first time I play MvM on my new steam account. When I gain money, it stays in the green box at the left bottom, instead of the box below. Now it is normal up to this point, but when the wave finishes it stays there so I cant spend it. Any tips?

This post was unclear to me, so I went with the most basic thing. It also lacks details. If you want good help make a good post about your problem.

Now I have to use my psychic powers of mind reading. You can't use upgrade station on occassions. Try to hit your inspect button (F as default), walk to the upgrade station and see if that helps, or hit it once and remove it and then go to the upgrade station, if that doesn't help change classes twice.

Well, at the left bottom of the screen, there are 2 boxes that tell you the amount of money you have; a green box and a yellow box.

Now I don't remember very well how the mechanics worked, but this is my guess: the green box represents the money you picked up on the current wave and cannot be spent until the wave is over, when the wave is over the money in the green box goes to the yellow box, ready to be spent. Of course this what I remember and I'm not very sure if it worked like this.

So my problem is that the money stays in the green box thus I can't spend it. I've tried switching classes but not through the console.Oddly enough, the first wave I did on this account I could buy stuff normally, and I still can use the money to revive myself.

The green box is your current available cash/what you can spend.
The yellow box is money currently on the ground (durring a wave).
