2014 Halloween Spells, Why must they go away?
Valve, you really screwed us hard this time. Increasing the item drop rate from once every 48 minutes to once every 3 hours, and now the hard earned spells I WAIT for are going to disappear on November 12th? I bother giving you guys money why? This is just crooked, cruel, and corrupt. The spells will only be active on Halloween and Full Moon, they are marketable, trade-able, AND YOU GUYS MAKE MONEY EVERY TIME ONE GETS DROPPED. Why cant we just have them? Why must they disappear? The 2013 Helltower items arent disappearing, there are already spells glitched permanently onto items. Just let us have this for once, Valve. Let us keep the spells we have earned and equipped after November 12th comes. You guys should know how cruel it is to increase a drop timer to where casual players like myself can only earn one or two drops a day, then you make them temporary?

Valve, please, your better than this. Make all equipped spells permanent, make them like the holiday restricted items. We dont want to lose them, Valve. And you dont want the community to be angry when all their spells disappear on the 12th. Let us have them and keep them, Valve.

Thank You.

If anyone else has any further concerns on this, please feel free to comment. We need to let Valve know about this, and we need to be able to make sure the items we earn stay ours, especially if Valve is making us wait 3 hours at a time just to get one.

Pretty sure they always disappear on the end of the Halloween event each year? Spells are made to be used, keeping them on an alt is more corrupt than what you're talking about. If you apply a spell to an item it won't just go away.
You can babysit a kid for 3 hours and get five bucks. Buy lots of halloween hats and pay someone to farm spells for you for the whole event. Profit.

I'm sorry the spells that only apply a minor cosmetic effect meant to only be used around Halloween dissapear after Halloween. Truly, this is a great loss.

They are marketable, tagged to be only active during the event, and yeah, they are minor, so why make a minor thing that is having a positive effect on the TF2 economy go away?

If you use them, they're permanent

They locked all my old spells that used to be tradable away and if I start TF2 on that account they'll vanish, now that's a ♥♥♥♥ move, if anything because they used to be tradable and all...

If what he is saying is true, why does it warn you about the item only being a thing until it disappears on November 12th 2014? Its not permanent, yet. The only reason some exist in the game is because of a glitch in 2012. Try putting a spell on your item right now, it will warn you that the item will only last until and dissappear on November 12th.

he means if you put a spell on the item then the spell will stay on the item and it won't dissapear

You're getting it wrong. The spell ITSELF will disappear after Novemeber 12th, however, if you use it on an item, it's permanent.

It said the same last year and then they never got removed. In fact they were the only ones to remain; unused spells were the ones that got (effectively) removed.

Valve never updated the description because the TF2 team is down to like four people and a Pez Dispencer.
