Psychological Profile of each Merc in TF2

[BODKIN]

Scout- learned to run in order to beat his brothers. Severe need to be the best at everything. Calling himself a "force-a-nature" and taunting that he's "not even winded". Probably has an inner lack of self esteem so he tries to flaunt everything he does.

Soldier- PTSD and rejection. Got rejected from military in WW2. Went overseas to do it on his own. Stopped only when he heard the war was over, the year was 1949.....

Pyro- No comment. We do know that he works as a gas station attendant (look up gas jockey pack)

Demoman- A lazy man out of work who essentially lives in his mother's basement. Drinks morbid amounts of alcohol to make the days and stress go by. As an orphan he had a love of all things that go boom. OCD to blow stuff up, mainly other people.

Heavy- A misunderstood monster. He's really a genius. He just can't speak english well. His intelligence shows in his utter lack of ego and his laidbackness. "Some people think they can outsmart me, maybe. But I've yet to see a man who can outmart bullet!" Sounds wise and intelligent to me. He lets his big guns (arms and machine guns) do the talking, usually people who talk less are smarter because they are thinking a lot more.

Engineer- a country kid who was bullied as a child for being a nerd and not your stereotypical, strong, manual labor (rancher, farmer, etc.) texan. He learned that ignoring them and other "conundrums of philosophy" don't work (stupid anti-bully solutions. Beating them up is the only thing that works lol). Determined to show them, he went and recieved 10 PhD's in weapons engineering. He now has a simple philosophy, "How am I gonna stop some big mean mother hubbard (bully) from tearing me a structurally superfluous new behind (bully's beating him up from school)? The answer....a gun. And if that don't work; use more gun."

Sniper- his parents have never cared for him. All he wants is for his parents to be proud of him. He also has a more primal oriented brain of the hunter/native tribesman, which is why he has a liking/respect for primitive weapons (huntsman publicity blurb- "I hear you saying, bows and arrows can't hurt people. Well just go ask the dinosaurs, oh that's right. You can't because the cavemen bow and arrow'd them to death). He learned to be a sniper through hunting. He was a master hunter and tracker in the outback and would sometimes stay alone for months to kill his game. He can stalk and kill his target with efficiency. He is an extreme introvert who has learned, "you never have to rely on anyone if you never miss." This refers to combat, hunting, and daily life. Combat- he doesn't die if he never misses and becomes the biggest thorn in a team's side ever. More than a turret. Hunting- He never misses, then he can "guarantee that he won't go hungry." Daily Life- He has had to raise himself because his parents never loved him

Medic- he is a mad lunatic who loves to stick needles in people and perform experiments on them. Healing is just a side effect to his morbid curiosity.

Spy- an ego-centric cocky piece of crap from france who disgusts all men other than himself. I like playing spy, but his character is bunch of crap.

And gee, I wish I could edit my posts, but for some reason Steam Client doesn't like me doing that. Anyway, I don't think he meant that literally like he raised himself or something like that. They just never really cared for what he did. ^^

Its kind of muffled, but I think the Sniper says "I'll be honest, my parents do not care for it", though I can see where it sounds like 'me". Also I haven't read the comics in awhile, but I'm pretty sure Demo invited his mother to live in his mansion, correct me if i'm long.

Tomix is right actually. He says "My parents do not care for IT" as in his job, being an assassin. Hence why he's fighting on the phone with his dad. AHA!

You're right, if you read the video transcription, it says: "I'll be honest with ya: my parents do not care for it."
