Is there something like "Optifine" for TF2?
For people who don't know what Optifine is, it's a Minecraft mod that improves FPS and allows more visual options. Does TF2 have something like it?

Try Chris' config. While it doesn't improve visual stuff, it actually lets you change some stuff around to improve your FPS.

The console has tons of options that can affect performance you can adjust but as far as I'm aware there is no graphical tool to make them more user-friendly to change. The fact that half of them aren't even documented properly doesn't really help, either.

Well you can adjust your resolution and stuff from the settings.

This is as close as you'll get. Works marginally well to make the game more playable for us folk that have less-than-stellar computers.

If it weren't for configs, I'd probably not be able to run TF2 at all. I currently have everything basically as low as possible, the textures look like it's minecraft, and I have every single thing that I know of that can improve FPS. Now, I get a nice, smooth and steady 40 FPS, and even though it stutters sometimes, it's soooooo much better, and I honestly don't care for the graphics in a game.
