Making Pyro immune to fire?
Basicly, most of the time fighting a pyro as pyro will just become a giant M1 Spam and 1 survives.

Using a shotgun or melee against a pyro that spams the flamer at you is ineffective although even the valve made a TF2 tipp that says it would be better to do this, so basicly this advice is :poop:

So here is my idea: Either make Pyro fully immune to fire damage or at least reduce damage taken from fire by 90%. An additional idea would be making pyro only receive crits from other damage sources when a flamer is spammed at pyro, that would add some extra teamplay to TF2. Also this would make the shotgun a better choice for pyro because if the flares also do no damage on the out-of-melee-reach a shotgun pyro basicly always wins.

Pyro wears a fireproof suit so why is Pyro getting roasted in a pyro fight? Pretty dumb, no?

What do you guys think?

P.S: Theese few Pyros that airblast and use the reserve shooters are not counted in here.

The pyro is immune to afterburn damage but not direct damage from flamethrowers.
And pyros are fine the way they are now. The W+M1 vs W+M1 fight is easily beatable with distance and the right shotgun.

Inmune to a type of damage? no. It's wrong. It's fine the way it is.

true but is the pyru immune to drowning
I have spent 3000 hours in this game, most of them as a Pyro. The thing you are suggesting is not a good idea. If you're having trouble dancing with Pyros one-on-one as a Pyro, learn to control the distance, don't be afraid to use the flamethrower, and rely on your shotgun when you're sure you can land the meatshots even from a distance.

This appears to be a "git gud" issue and not an actual "game balance" issue.

Nope. He wears a rubber suit and a gas mask for a reason, to not get burned because fire is his main weapon. >:[
Also, the suit is not fireproof. Just as a Kevlar vest is not bulletproof, but rather bullet-resistant, so is the Pyro's suit fire-resistant. It doesn't stay on fire, because it's kind of hard to get rubber to ignite, but if you keep on blasting it with fire, you're still going to fry the person inside the suit.

He's saying "pyro should be immune to all types of fire damage, not just afterburn, because I can't aim a shotgun and I die from their M1"

Exactly.
And I'm asking if it's stupid.

It has to be if it is serious.

The insults start at comment #12? Wow kids, you became slow theese days.

Anyways, unlike the crybabies that just complain i just make a SUGGESTION in the threads and want to hear your thoughts about it. I'm not saying "bohoo volvo add plox", instead i simply use the community features that steam offers to it's users.
