Is it still possible to get the frying pan?

I bought L4D2 but I'm not getting anything

Some time ago when I bought L4D2 during a sale, I did not get Ellis hat and Pan right away. I think it may have taken a week or so.

You should have got the Frying Pan and Ellis' Cap the next time you opened TF2 after purchasing L4D2. There is no need to play L4D2 or earn any achievements, you only need to earn achievements for achievement items, which the Frying Pan and Ellis' Cap are not.

OldeFartz's situation is odd as they should have gotten it right away, but the fact they didn't makes me believe that their something is up with the item servers (what else is new?) or that Valve changed how promo items are distributed (possibly due to the new refund policy?).

I am fairly sure promo distribution has not changed due to purchasing Gunpoint during the Summer Sale and getting the Genuine Crosslinker's Coil straight away.

My recommendation is contact Steam Support, possibly waiting a week first if you want to see if it fixes itself, if you don't want to wait to see then just contact them now.
