Does anyone know how to find a specific item?

Ages ago, in the times after the shogun update came out, before F2P was even a passing though in the mind of Gaben, I crafted a sword of great and terrible power. So fabled that a few days later, it became vintage when it was added to the drop list. After 2 years in my possesion, it was traded away for a copy of terraria.

Now I seek this sword's power once more.

Legends aside, anyone know how to find a specific item? All I have is some sparse details.

Vintage Half Zatoichi, Named "Vampirische Schwert"

Does backpack.tf has a history for your bacpack when you had that sword ?

if you wantting the item you traded away you could go to bp and go back in your histery to when you had it and click on its histery and see where it is

if you just want a v half zatoichi, trade for it

No, I'm looking for my specific sword. It was traded away on April 23rd, 2012, and backpack.tf's history doesn't extend that far. Tf2items.com might hold the key, but it's not letting me see the history of a few days before, so I still can't track down the item's ID.

if you cant find its id then your stuffed

and why u want that same item, just get a "new" 1/2 z (or just a norm one, there nice and cheep)

I crafted it myself, it holds sentimental value.

The only way to find it would be if a trading or item website like backpack.tf, TF2 Outpost, or TF2 Items scanned your inventory while you still had it.

If backpack.tf or TF2 Items scanned it you just need to check the historical view of your inventory to find the item ID, if Outpost scanned it you would need to check all 3592 Vintage Half Zatoichis on Outpost's item histories.

Also the name doesn't matter since custom names can be removed or changed.

I just checked Backpack.tf for you, the earliest scan for you is March 2014[backpack.tf], so that option is out.

Go to your trade history and see who you traded it to. Then you could try tracking it down from there.
