Team Fortress 2
Is Candy Cane underpowered?
I personally think it is. Being one shot by Demos and Soldiers is a huge trade off for 25 hp if you actually manage to kill them.

Would 10% explosive vulnerability make it overpowered? Direct grenades can still kill, and a direct rocket + fall damage means that the Scout still could die in 1 shot. Also disregarding direct hits, the Scout will still take a pretty substantial amount of extra damage.

Possibly,
-20% explosive vulnerability from direct hits (still being 1 shotted so it has a downside, but not tragically bad against players with bad aim). Some affordable tankiness, still retaining the need to dodge but increasing your survivability if you do so. This change will make Candy Cane a high risk, high reward weapon.

it solely relies on your ability to dodge blasts

I one-shot Scouts routinely anyway using LNL or DH.

Not really underpowered.

Don't use the weapon if you can't dodge projectiles for life.

Honestly I used to use this a lot when I first started playing tf2 then I realized you could get a 1 hit killed with nearly any direct explosive

they should make it so that it has no downsides, and make it so that if u get shot by an explosive the guy who shot it gets instagibbed

If you want to learn how to dodge projectiles, which is a huge life saver and makes candy cane more effective, fight a giant solly in MvM.

Not worth it if you're facing decent explosive classes.

Aka 6V6, or spammy explosive games in general. Its best use is against Pyros, who you naturally excel against anyway, while making you completely dependent on how bad your enemy is when fighting Demo or Soldier.

20% explosive vulnerability from splash explosive damage, how about that?
