Bostonian!
-Scout
-Spy
-Engineer
-Demoman
These classes have a tougher learning curve, and you'll die a lot trying to use them against experienced players knowing absolutely nothing.
Sniper is a weird one. If you have a ton of FPS experience prior in games like CS then go for them. If you aren't the best at aiming or are not willing to practice and develop that skill, avoid them
Soldier is definitely an alright class for beginners, but be aware there are a lot of complicated and varying playstyles, and you may not be effective at all
Pyro and Heavy by far are the best classes for a total beginner. They revolve around fairly simple concepts and anybody can understand how to play relatively okay with them quickly
I would say Medic
Whenever I enter a map that I don't know I usually play medic because rarely people will get mad at you for healing them and people that already know the map will easily guide you around.
And if people trash talk you? You just swap to sniper and the team is left without a medic, gg ez.
Heavy = most basic play style, just aim and shoot, stay with a medic since you are a bullet sponge and protect your medic (slightly harder then soldier for starters)
Pyro = lower skill floor but higher skill ceiling then heavy, use phlog if you just started since airblasting might be a bit hard for starters
Medic = lowest skill floor and still helpful just stay behind your teammates and practice your crossbow aim whenever you get that weapon. Otherwise just heal nonstop for Uber.
I think Imma still stick with engineer just cuz I like helping the team by placing dispensers and teleporters in good locations.
