I wouldn't personally use them because it can mess up your muscle memory since you're used to the stock animations gor your weapons.
I don't think it's likely that they'd have a noticable impact at all though, since fps doesn't really dip with animations as it is. It is basically no effort to try out a mod and see what sort of impact it has though, so I'd recommend testing it out.
Have in mind that it's taunt replacement, visible to everyone and also has particle effects.
Animation overhauls are just client-side animations visible only for you, so there shouldn't be much of a problem with them.
dxlevel 81, no hats mod, and low particles..
And fps has almost nothing to do with this.
But no, they don't.
