Bitskin scam method
Heads up to all new or even experienced traders. There's a common scam method involving people offering better than market value prices on your unusuals. However, they follow it up by saying they use bitskins and they plan on selling your items there. And so, they want you to prove your items can be sold. How is this accomplished? by giving all of your items to a bitskin trade bot. If anyone directs you to do this, it's a trick. Dont fall for it. Immediately report and block them.

and for those curious, if you go on bitskins and it has a price on it, it is sellable.

It's just another "middleman scam", and quite honestly one of the least creative methods by far. Really pathetic by scammer standards.

This is true. My son us3dhos account and logged into bitskins and somehow all his good stuff is gone now. I contacted bitskins and they said the account is compromised but my son uses steamguard and he didn't give them the password. He typed the URL into his browser, not a link. I'm confused as how it can be this easy to steal your stuff. Bitskins said that I need to reset my apis but IDK what that means. Isn't steam guard supposed to protect you from this sort of thing? I'm hella annoyed because I'm going back and forth with bitskins biu basically they said it's not their bot. Now I'm pleading with steam to get my son's stuff back.

Even better if you get them to click on a link to a screamer site or something like that.

With a chance of 99.99% - no. There is no way to get them back.
That 0.01% chance is to cry the hell out of the Bitskin administration, but that is only if you've lost at least a couple of thousands of dollars there. Yet still that wasn't their fault you gave your stuff away, so they are doing something that goes against their own rules.
