The stock knife would be better in general, but the kunai can excel against opponents who have the awareness of a rock ^_^

When you're starting out, stock by far. The Kunai isnt good if you haven't mastered evasion, as a single rocket, stickybomb, or even Crusaders Crossbow shot can instantly kill you without overheal. Once you find yourself getting multiple kills, reliably, in a single life, then the overheal of the Kunai can be a great benefit to you.

not very comparable. one is a pubstomper and the other is long term effectiveness

The Kunai and Stock knives are both good
If you can get stabs semiconsistantly, I would say use Kunai, as it gives you a health buffer after a stab to escape or attempt further plays.

Is largely considered the worst spy knife due to the ineffectiveness of disguises and its cloak penalty.

Just this. Ironically if you have great situational awareness the kunai will improve your survivability way more than stock. Once in a while I meet a spy who does good with kunai they chainstab the crap out the entire enemy team.

I'd say the Kunai is better, but way more reliable on how well you can consistantly get stabs.

If you're barely getting any picks because you're playing competent players then you're probably better off using stock.

It depends on the situation, i'd stick with stock tho, since i'm not that big of a spy main, and low hp can mess me up badly.
