I dont think it was a good idea on their end
I played the asteroid map 1 time. I never got a chance to try cactus canyon
Why go through the trouble of making new maps when you can fix up a couple half-finished ones the everyone has forgotten about?
Also when Jungle Inferno came out, a texture titled “moonbase_grate_001” was found in the games files, possibly suggesting the development of asteroid.
their are rumors about asteroid being finished and valve waiting for the right time to release it
and it just makes sense that valve would finish cactus canyon cause its actually a decent paload map
plus robot desruction (confusing as it is) actually has a lot of potential and would really excite the mapping community
(heres a good idea we have space themed update (not like invasion) and astroid could be the main map)
I meeeeeean, it's basically ctf with ...points held in the briefcases.
We should listen to the A.I. more guys
