Generic guy. Sometimes funny, usually not. Mediocre content that's watchable, but you wouldn't go out of your way to do so.
Extremely overrated and has one of, if not, the most toxic fanbases in the entire TF2 spectrum.
The worst is when his fanbase takes one of his already unfunny jokes and then blows it out of proportion.
I personally never liked the "stereotypes" series. And judging by the way Soundsmith chose to write and present his scripts in the later episodes (and "seasons" I guess), he clearly didn't either, but it was popular and made him famous. It's clear from relatively early on that Soundsmith wanted to stop the series a lot sooner than he eventually did. He ran out of jokes, ran out of "meaningful" content and the series became repetitive and boring, but it took him far too long to can it because it's all people wanted to watch.
At the time (and probably still now, honestly), if you compared the viewcounts of his Hat/Misc/Weapon stereotype videos to any of his other content, the drop in views was staggering.
He created an audience out of an inherently stupid and restrictive premise, and then had a little strop because it's all people would go on about. And I can't exactly say I'm that fond of someone who acts in that manner.
If anything, I think his best content is whenever he steps away from TF2 - Which mostly just means Gmod - Because while it still isn't consistently funny and is still fairly repetitive (Bearded loud = comedy gold!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) it still has more variation than his cycle of 4 TF2 maps and repetitive "meme strats" and it's clear that he's at least having fun with it. Though at that point, he's just a bootleg VanossGaming - Which is saying something,
TLDR: Soundsmith is painfully mediocre and boring. Can't say he's the worst content on Youtube or in this community but I can say I'd prefer if he never got big as a TF2ber just so his community didn't exist.
a Z- if you don't.
i don't
but recently his channel has taken a steep decline in quality imo, Mann’s guide is a fun series, but his other quality of humor is just overused and frustrating, sometimes the unexpected bass and low quality zoomed in image and 2010 music is funny, sometimes it’s just stupid
in the end we all have different kinds of humor, and we shouldn’t crucify someone just because they take the game seriously and couldn’t give a flying f**k about it
thank you for coming to my ted talk
