New TF2 Scam Roulette Site

Today I was added by a scammer with a gambling site for tf2 called tf2smart.com, he added me to his friends and said he would make me win if I advertised his site. I decided to play along to get more information, I found out that all the players (suprise suprise) were not real and all the chat was fake. He then said all I have to do is put in $25 worth of items into his site and he would make me win. This is about as far as I could take it. Just a warning to some players. I've also been added by some of his alt accounts doing the asking the same.

Gambling sites in general using Steam items are forbidden.

The only gambling allow is Crafting and Unboxing.

but if valve wants less itme gambling why would crafting and unboxing not count as gambling to them?

would unboxing not count as they get money for it?

Crafting isn't considered gambling in the same way farming for end-game content off bosses in MMO isn't; Semantics.

Again, Semantics. They're effectively the same idea as gambling, but the way it's listed allows them to get away without calling it "gambling".

I mean it's a bit of a slippery slope, because at what point do we lower the bar between "Gambling" and "Random loot" if they're essentially the same thing worded slightly different?
