Competitive Map Rotation
I recently returned to the game after a 4 year hiatus and have been having quite a bit of fun. I wanted to try competitive but I don't know what maps are in use and wanted to familiarize myself with them in casual before getting started, but I can't manage to find an updated list of the maps and game modes currently being used. Is there a place where they are updated or posted or viewable, anywhere? They're not on the TF2 main site, the discussions, the patch notes, and I can't tell if the wiki is up-to-date. A little help?

You'd be surprised how helpful it actually is, since barely anyone plays comp :blissful_creep:

Yeah the maps look right to me from what I’ve heard and what makes sense, but if you really want to know the definitive list just go through the patch notes here. I’d just stick to thie list though

You could have started with that instead of simply ordering me not to play comp. Rude.

Good to hear! Thank you very much 😊

I typically play Scout, Spy, Pyro, and Engi. By my logic, Engi needs to know good building locations ahead of time to start the round well and not waste resources/time, while scout and spy should be familiar with the various routes and flanking paths before running down a hallway to a dead end.

I could just play Pyro 100% of the time, but even then I would just be sticking to my teammates like glue trying not to get lost. I'd rather know what I'm up against before i play my placement matches.

If you want to get into actual comp, learn generalist classes, like demo and soldier. If you think scout is your comp main, play him mostly. But valve comp is easy if you have a good team (Which I never do)

Solid advice! I love them both as characters but never put much time into them, so its high-time I did some research and learned how!
