Let's take an example, PUBG Mobile. That game was released internationally a few weeks ago and because of the touchscreen components, everyone's aim is basically dumdowned to who slides their screen the fastest and push 'shoot' first. This might work for PUBG Mobile, with its large areas where players are scattered around eachother, hence not many close-combat encounters.
Not to mention that PUBG Mobile is in third person, making it much better to aim and see where you and other people are.
TF2 Mobile would be exactly like PUBG Mobile, dumbdowned controls. The difference is that TF2 is mostly CQC and aiming with the touchscreen would be a pain in the arse , not to mention it's first-person making aiming and moving much more difficult.
"Oh, it'll NOT be that bad... right?" Wrong. If you can withstand all the things that would make the experience very bad, there's these things that are called emulators.
PUBG Mobile is currently plagued with them, people playing the mobile version with keyboards and mouse, basically eliminating the dumbdowned controls and the touchscreen aspects altogether and just ruining the experience for everyone.
This of course, is just my opinion on a mobile version of TF2 with FPS-based mechanics. If they were to say... make a card game *cough* Artifact *cough* then the concept of a mobile card game based around TF2 could work. (Note: This is just an example, don't kill me lol)
and why would i play mobile games when there is so many better options for portable gaming
Level 5: Mobile PUBG
Level 50: Mobile FoRtNiTe
Level Infinity: Mobile Team Fortress 2
It's probably the easiest game to make on mobile and well the game is called Team Fortress
Hear me out though, If you guys look at a game called Transformers earth wars then you will see that always uses the same characters you have instead of the whole "Training troops" mechanic that other mobile base builders have.
Idk. If there ever was a TF2 mobile game I would Imagine it being like that.
